Lampard is a striker in "midfield attire"

The rate at which Frank Lampard is scoring season in and out is amazing. He is a striker hiding behind the shadows of the midfielder.

Today he jumped into that bracket of 20 goals in all competitions by hitting a brace against Tottenham and unless injuries write his season off, Lampard might by-pass the 30 goal line.

When Chelsea is off form, chances are high that Lampard is not among them chipping in the scarce goals. He is a midfielder who scores without limit.

My request is, whoever has got data on Lampard should inform me whether this Chelsea star was not a striker in his prime days. I mean his scoring rate convinces me he was a striker at one point.

PS. All the Lampard haters can stop and leave this thread right here.

Lampard Never was a striker, also, i think its amazing how he gets all that power into a shot even though he broke his right leg.

Lampard is basicaly a striker from midfield. He likes to be able to make runs and not be hanging about for the ball to come his way.

    Actually, you're wrong Wolf.

Lampard did play at striker for a small period of time.

Example, you know how Cech/Cudicini got wiped against Reading? Then Hilario played..for a while, yet Joe Cole put up his hands?

Because, Joe Cole plays as Goalkeeper sometimes during training.

Lampard, did, but not at Chelsea, he played as striker under his uncle, Redknapp back in West Ham, also while he was on loan.

If you know Michael Carrick, Rio Ferdinand or Joe Cole, please ask them for me. -.-
