I'm fed up with some of the stupid rules that fifa keep on coming up with such as if a player gets hurt but they are alright, they have to come off the pitch and back on.the one that really gets on my nerves is the 'how to celebrate' rule. When a player scores a goal it is a big moment for them as it could be against a big team or in a derby match so their obvious reaction is to celebrate like mad. I don't understand why taking your top off or running over to the fans and celebrating with them is seen as unacceptable and warrants a yellow card when one of the good things about football is seeing all the different celebrations. I hope that fifa sees some sense and writes out all these dreadful rules.
As much as I share the enthusiasm of players flowing with emotions and expressing them after scoring, I do see FIFA point, if I'm reading it right. Players that score are highlighted by media (TV as well as print) typically in action and immediately after the deed. If they remove the shirt, they are denying sponsors (shirt, club and league sponsors displayed on the shirt) due exposure. It's a silly reality of life seeing that taking of the shirt and waving it while running the length of the pitch is very stirring, especially if the player is at home. The yellow card is the only means of enforcement, so player just has to be wise when he can do it. Jumping into crowd has safety issues, both for the fans and the player. Not all fans are ready for the act when it happens and some may get trampled in the chaos. It only takes one bad incident to get everyone at condemning 'restlessness of footballers'. Once again practical considerations limiting expressions to other forms. Players just have to be creative while staying within the game rules. there quite a few interesting ones like the acrobatics of Lua Lua and Martins.
It's a stupid rule that Fifa have made... someone scores in a world cup, and they are not allowed to celebrate like mad??? that's mental! Also I saw Tevez get booked for taking his shirt off and jumping into the crowd. he shouldn't have got booked. he hadn't scored all season, he scored his first goal for west ham, and understandably all his emotions let rip. that's why so many poeople love this game-passion! Fifa should change this rule immediately.
Carlos got booked for that? I saw that, and thought it was hilarious! Carlos was prob'ly thinking... there's my goal, you can love me now!
Soon players will be sent off for smiling. This gets on my nerves. Why aren't players allowed to do things. Going into the crowd is understandable and that but why aren't they allowed to put their shirt above their heads? Now I can't do it at my matches or i'll get booked
