I know the EPL is supposed to be stronger but with Newcastles demise last night in the uefa cup last night can we still say this is true. Yes we have 3 teams and spain only have one in the last eight of the Champions league but where is the strength in depth. We have now only one team left in the Uefa Cup with the spanish league having 3. Does that mean they have better teams further down their league. With Spurs' inability to keep a clean sheet I cant see them lasting past the next round either. Any of the spanish (or Portugese) sides are well capable of beating them. Its a shame really but this does seem to indicate that the EPL is turning into a 4 team competition with maybe another 2 teams occasionally pushing in at number 4.
