I used to love watchiing ITS A KNOCKOUT with my younger brothers. Dad will bring home a big tub of Rossi's and we would chuckle away at the big constumes and Stuart Halls laughing. Weekend TV back in the 70's was brilliant and the family could ALL sit down and watch something together! What was your favourite programmes/cartons back then? Personally, ITS A KNOCKOUT came out top, Magpie because Sally James made something stir in my y fronts at a very early age, and wonder woman for that matter! OUT OF TOWN was a Sunday favourite because as kids back then you were out most of the time getting up to no good. Jack Hargreaves was kind enough to share his secrets of making catapaults and rabbit snares, great stuff! Best cartoon for me was Hong Kong Phooey (The mild mannered Janitor).
Thundercats as a kid, also Wackaday with Timmy Mallet and going live with phil schofield. Also saturday afternoons, Murder she wrote, the A-Team and WCW in the afternoon. would have been early 90's.
i'm only 16 so i wasn't around for the Timmy Mallet era but i liked that Playdays thing and Thomas the Tank engine.
