I believe that after the incredible performance of these two superstars this afternoon that Man Utd have undoubtedly the very best footballers in the last 20 years. Ronaldo is the best winger ever and he is undoubtedly much much better than even Garrincha. As for Rooney..what can you say about the boy genius...the guy is just as good as Maradona and Pele and todays performance was absolutely exceptional. I was off my seat the whole match watching these two incredible superstars completely tear Bolton apart.

Im just a very very happy Man Utd supporter and in my honest opinion Rooneys performance today was on par with Maradonas in 1986 world cup and Ronaldos was even better than Garrinchas in 1958.

I think we at Man Utd are now blessed with probably the two greatest ever footballers in the history of the game in Ronaldo and Rooney

i'm a united fan but I just think its way too early to compare Rooney to maradona. Ok so they both played extremely well today but DON'T forget that Bolton are struggling for form at this moment and are really lacking in confidence. Rooney and Ronaldo HAVE to start peforming in europe and not just in games against mediocre Prem teams. I have no doubt these boys could become the BEST but I still see a little bit of inconsistency with Rooney. Ronaldo has been the best player in the world this season but thats with the absence of Henry and Ronaldinho who hasn't had the best of seasons??

The potential is definitely there. At this moment, there are no players in Rooney and Ronaldo's age bracket who comes close to their ability and contribution to their teams at the highest level.

However, to suggest Ronaldo is better than Garrincha at the age of 22 and 1 month is premature, to say the least. On form, yes, he is *almost* as exciting as Garrincha, but Garrincha had an entire career while Ronaldo is only 22.

Both Rooney and Ronaldo are at the best club for bringing through precocious youngsters. At Man Utd, they can mature into the two best players in the world. In 15 years time, we might be talking about Ronaldo and Rooney in the same breath as Pele, Maradona and Best.

Calling them the best players ever in the history of the game when they're only 21 and 22 is a gross exaggeration. Let's wait to see if they can continue playing at this level for another 10 years.

Wxactly which match are you talking about ,because if its the Bolton match you seriously need your head testing in regard to Rooney. Ok he scored but other than that he did nothing!
