i was watching MTVs making the game and EA is making a new video game called NFL STREEET. it looks awesome, its like football street, no helpmets or pads, you can pick what the players wear and you can make teams. Ray Lewis was on and said that its just like when u get ur friends together and go out to play unorganized football. it looks awesome, they have good TD danses, trash talking and the players faces look like the real ones. they showed them making ricky williams and eddie georges faces. i may get it BTW it wont top madde
I wonder if there will be a big difference between NFL Street and NFL Blitz, except this one is played outdoors.
blitz sucks i hate that game. id never waste my money on it and i wouldnt be sad if that game never sold another copy and went bankrupt. ill always love madden becasue thats the best ever, i just want to try out street. have u ever played nba street? its just like that but football
Preach on about the madden dawk!! Both NBA street and madden are awsome games. I also hate nfl blitz as well.
Does anyone have madden 2004 for p2? And are they hooked up online? I have x box and i pissed that madden didnt let x box have rights to online. I may have to buy p2 again for online to slap up some victims with my team on madden the eagles.
Bucs, I have it on PC only, but there are several PS2 Madden guys here. I can play online, but I don't know if I can play against someone with PS2. The difficulty of the game on PS2 is a little different than the PC. I believe a couple play online with PS2, and I know there are a couple that play together as a team. OK...as long as someone brought it up....I have a Madden question. I am usually far under the salary cap, so I have never paid attention to it, but here's the deal. Under the franchise mode, your total players salaries are charged out to you right at the beginning of the season. What happens when you cut or trade a player. Is their salary prorated and signing bonus accelerated, (etc)? If I sign a FA in week 10, do I get charged for the full salary or just the prorated portion? If you choose to sign a player to an extension, what do you get hit with? Laugh all you want, but I was sitting on the crapper earlier today thinking about my roster and what changes I wanted to make (see the post: how to know if you play too much Madden) and I started thinking about these things. Like I said, I haven't been close enough to the cap limit to care.
Not too sure about that question Cowboy. B40ET, I have Madden and the PS2 Modem combo, so does SF, and Glenso I think. Beef and Bearsfan1 may have it as well. Dolfandale has the x-box version (What a geek!)
One problem I have with the new Madden game is that it will automatically promote a coordinator to Head coach sometimes. I hate that. I hope they fix it for next years game. I have everything set for USER adjustment, but it will still advance them up into the vacancy before I have control.
I hope they expand coaching staff on next version. oh and fix it so you can make your own playbook, any size, with all the details of the regular plays

I don't understand how it can do that with the USER settings like they were. I didn't want Caper running my whole team!!!!

As far as your question goes, I'm pretty sure that you have to pay the total for the year and not the pro-rated sum. I really hope that they change that, because it's b.s. I also hope that they make the computer a little less stingy on the trades. I'd also like it if they let the player progression be more accurate to the players previous season's stats. I really hate the fact that they only improve marginaly. I had a season in which I did a fantasy draft. Travis Henry was my RB and I got him all kinds of crazy stats thinking: "If this doesn't improve his ability, nothing will" His year was like 2,850 yrds rushing and 1,200 recieving with like 80 TDs total. Well, guess what? He went from a 89 to a whopping 91 and his catching ability only improved by one digit and his carrying ability only improved by two. That stinks!! Any player that has that kind of season deserves to improve by leaps and bounds... Consequently I have traded Henry and moved on to a new rookie. What a world!?!? :x
i hate training camp. i got 7 points for anquain boldin in catching, then it only gave me 5 points to preogress him thats so gay. and id love to see the tags added in there, and less holdouts, and no more of that "retired players" on the offseason screen. whats the point of that?
