Managers need to be given time, it does not help chopping and changing. Even if it means a lean spell before 'success'. This happens once every few years. It's different than it was 30 years but not different than it was 10 years ago. Maybe Chairmen just know the Manager isn't going to do the job after 6 months and there wouldn't be any point in prolonging the agony? Fans have less influence.
