I'll cut straight to the point-English defenders need to buck their ideas up. Jamie Redknapp commented on our 'not going down and being bad sportsmen unlike foreign players'. What he conveniently forgot to mention is that our moaning to the referee has become second to none. John Terry does, Rio Ferdinand does it, Ashley Cole and Gary Neville are just as bad. Jamie Carragher is not the worst, but even he can't resist a moan now and again. I suppose I shouldn't keep picking on defenders-everyone else was just as bad. Wayne Rooney is one of the worst at this, constantly swearing and ranting at officials. It's a wonder he doesn't get sent off every match. The same applies for Frank Lampard. Owen Hargreaves, to be fair, doesn't do too much of this, but even so, he is one of the only ones. For once I have an answer to all of the 'Arsenal have no english players-it's a disgrace' comments. It may be a disgrace, but getting some would be even more of one.
The fact that Arsenal are playing in the ENGLISH Premier League and are a club situated in the English Capital makes it more of a disgrace at their lack of English players. Thier should be a rule stating so many English players must be on the pitch. Arsenal might aswel take their team to Ligue 1.
I'm an arsenal fan and i must admit i agree with you. We do need more English players. Maybe not 4 on a pitch but 4 in a squad including 5 subs.
