Eto'o "refuses" to play at racist stadium Eto'o has refused to/wasn't allowed (it's not yet clear) to play in tonight's away game at Zaragoza because of the monkey chants he received last season. I remember the game. Every time he got the ball the Zaragoza fans made monkey noises. Eto'o went up to the ref. The ref did nothing. The other players did nothing. The club authorities did nothing and the fans continued with the monkey chants. Next day on RNE (the Spanish equivalent of the BBC) the sports presenter of popular radio programme "La Gaceta" said, not suggested, mind, that Eto'o wouldn't do this in the Nou Camp and that he was doing it UNSPORTINGLY to upset the other team. Is there any wonder he's looking for a transfer abroad?

This one arsehole would often get on my tram, and go "chineeeese" and pull the skin around his eyes into horizontal lines. Damn, he won't think twice bout saying that again...considering the lump on his head.... xD

Re: Eto'o "refuses" to play at racist stadium You're on a pitch with 22 people on it. Surrounded by 40,000+ people. Most/all chanting monkey noises. I would certainly feel bad. For ninety minutes, being chanted at, your morale slowly sinking, with your teammates not acting as actual mates, and they're concentrated in the game, because they dont give a shit coz its not bout them... I would, for one, be quite upset if something like that happened to me.

He went to take a corner and loads of Everton fans threw bananas at him and i'm talking loads. Barnsey walked over picked 1 up and started to eat it!

But at the same time something should be done about such kind of fans, and him boycotting a few games might do the difference. I feel for him, and all other players that endure/have endured such things.
