Looking at my team play in the last 3 matches, I am pleased that for once I can say that I am happy with the balance of the team and some of our most recent signings. We are reported to have 40m to spend in the summer transfer window, coupled with the sale of players already on our books, that will give us a very healthy budget. I think that these players should be let go (not that they necessarily will) Hyypia (great player, brill service to club, but Agger favoured now) Kewell (always injured, completely useless at times) Fowler (love him to bits but unless he is happy to play Carling Cup games etc, then he may go) Pennant (not the same quality as we thought) Bellamy (would love to see if he comes good, but just not scoring enough) Zenden (great player in his day, doesn't really fit in anymore) And what of Cisse, Pongolle and Le Tallec? Yes they still belong to us before people start commenting. Your thoughts?
Cisse, Pongolle and Le Tallec have established themselves but are not good enough for the first team, if we want to move on and win the prem next season these players wont be on our books. Players like Bellamy fit into that aswell, hes a good little player but just aint liverpool, as we move forwards we will have to get rid of the old no matter what, with 40m in the kitty its time to move forwards
i would like to see cisse come back because he is a great player. we should sell harry kewell becuase he is always injured, bolo becuase he is getting on, fowler (regretfully he should stay) but he only gets a run during the carling cup (he has been linked with the New England revolution) we shouldnt sell pennant because he is young and he is our only 'specialist' right winger (i prefer to see gerrard in the centre on the park) EDIT: if we sell some of these players who should we buy to replace them?
Pennant..haha waste of money. He should never have been bought. But I think you should sell your whole strikeforce bar Crouch, buy a new right winger and you should be alrite.
I say we keep Pongolle and Kewell,Kewell wll solve our left sided problem and Pongolle is a great talent but hasnt been given the chance.
Methinks it was the wrong move to get rid of Baros. Get Franck Ribery if you can afford him. Maybe Shaun Wright Phillips if we don't really need him....
