Arsenal are in a goalkeeper crisis and will need to try to find a goalkeeper soon. Jens Lehmann, 37, has supposedly agreed to carry on for next season but AW's goalies are running low. Mart Poom is too old - 35 now - and will be expected to retire soon. However 29 year old Manuel Aluminia still has time left in him. He has 1 clean sheet (out of 1) this season and has proved an ok deputy for Lehmann. Still, if not this season then the next, AW will need to sign a capable goalkeeper if they hope to have a chance of winning the Premiership that is now between MU and Chelsea. Who will AW sign? What do you think?
No doubt Arsenal will search the mountains high and low for a 16yr old keeper. I don't take Arsenal serious anymore, all this youth crap is kinda making them a joke team. This is meant to be the best league in the world, The Top 3 (Utd, Chelski, 'Pool) are signing big names while Arsenal are selling theirs and (as the news says) pipping youngsters off teams like Valencia. Arsenal think that because of this upbringing of youth, they will be a force in a few years time. In a few years time teams will have brung in World Class players and will destory Arsenal unless they buy the bigger names. You watch and see... Back to the goalie issue,
Almunia will suffice for the moment but we need another Keeper for sure Maybe with this big War chest AW is getting he can secure the use of a world class Keeper able to replace Lehman
I wish Lehmann could carry on forever, I think he is the best keeper to ever grace our country, what a character too
