In the last 2 games against roma and watford, alan smith has looked like the player he was when he came to united. not only did he scorer a good goal in the roma match, but he is now going to all the positions, not losing the ball as much, keeping up with the pace of the game and linking up well with rooney, ronny n giggsy. they almost make a 4-2-4 with interchanging involved. he was involved in three of the four goals in the watford match(2 direct assists), and 2 at roma (1 scored). this has made me very happy and he may prove something he has always said since day one: ' I wouldn't have come to a club like united if i didn't believe i was good enough to perform week in-week out. Even if saha does make the squad on Tuesday, i think smithy should deservedly start. i love the way he closes the defenders down. Fergie has to see it too cause he'd rather pick him than ole. He trusted smithy in very important, must-win games: <ul> [*]Middlesborough FA cup fifth round replay(71 mins.) [*]Roma UEFA champions league quarter final second leg, 2-1 down(90 mins.) [*]Watford FA cup semi final(90 mins.) [/list] Just wanted to know the general perception from my fellow man united supporters. is it similar to mine?
Yeah smith has come back strong from his injury. But i didnt know that he was going to celtic, beggsy?
