i know i predicted them to beat the eagles in this situation as my preseason picks, right SF, and zack? but im going back on my pick and saying why they will lose. but you can make a argument that the rams, ravens, pats, bucs, were all teams that were suprising. well they were all good teams. the rams had all the talent, and were great after wards. they had the balance of o and d. the ravens had a all out great defense, and a rb like davis that ran for about 1400 yards and was the only offense. but carolina just has a great rb, pretty good wrs and the best d-line. not enough simalities the pats were a great team even now. the bucs were just waiting for their time. the panthers are none of those, they are a team thats young. they wont keep going winning games. they won most of their games by accident.
good call dawk, fox obviously accidently taught him team to play smart, and then his horrible strategy of running the ball, with timely playaction down the field, with a great d, that strategy will never work
it makes sense if u look at it. i guess im a L.H. Oswalt was acted alone person. isnt that the joke? i dono
i do think philly will win, but i think it could go either way, sorry about the sarcasm i did not mean to crush you and your super bowl dreams
Carolina won the NFC South by accident....then they won 2 playoff games by accident....thats why they have no chance on Sunday??? Carolina uses a formula as old as the NFL itself and its been proven to win games....they run the ball to control the clock, they play stellar defense and cause turnovers, and they play exceptional special teams to dictate field position....when you play like this, you have less room for error, because one mistake will destroy your entire half of field position work, but your less likely to be the team that makes that mistake....If the Eagles think they can fall behind to the Panthers and give up 150+ rushing yards and still win, they are sadly mistaken and destined to lose a 3rd stratight oppurtunity to go to the Super Bowl....you dont know it now, but if they lose, you will look back in 10 years and it will make you sick, when you consider the oppurtunities this team has blown...I attended an AFC Championship game 12 years ago in Miami and I still think about that oppurtunity that got away(Bills 29 Dolphins 10, 15 year old Beef crushed with disappointment, thanks Oilers for no finishing off the Bills in the Wild Card round)....Just hope they come to play becuase they are the better team, but Carolina has the better formula for success, so it could go either way....If I was a betting man, which im not, my money would be on Carolina + the points...
I second what Beef said. Lets be honest. Carolina is the more balanced team. Other than Davis, they are relatively injury free. Reid is predictable in his play calling but then aren't all WCO's? I won't put Fox up there w/ Belichick quite yet in coming up w/ Defensive plans to shut down an opponent but he's close. Lastly, Philly has been known to come up short & lose the Championship game at home in prior years and they are not as dominate @ Lincoln Financial as they were at the Vet. Bottom line; All the pressure is on Philly IMO I did pick Philly to win but that does not mean I have to root for them. Underdogs (Undercats in this case) rule.
i think the game is even on overall with the x-factor being mcnabb and home field and ultimately will allow philly to win
the x-factor IMO bears is dawkins. i know im sooo biased towards him, but our D sucks against the run, and is way to agressive at time. dawkins plays to smart and isnt overagressive. last week when ahman green broke that long run to set up the GLS, dawkins was running backwards and was waiting for green to come to him, most S would go towards green but dawk is smarter. dawkins has to play over smith and davis/foster tom. i mean, troy and bobby will shut down mushin and smith, but those little screens to steve smith and foster to the outside will have to be stopped by dawk. vincent and taylor cant get off blocks that well, and lewis is on the TE, ike reese and simenaeu are(thats why we miss carlos emmons) undersized, nate wayne isnt a great tackler. its up to dawk IMO, look for him to have another 8-11 tackles, and mabe a turnover.

Iam so dead on with my predictions. not to brag, beczsue theres nothing to brag about but look were i said that dawkins would need 8-11 tackeles and a TO to win. i was right, he had a disgraceful 0 tackles and 0s all over the box score. i said simenaue was undersized, he missid to tackles on the goalline ON THE SAME FRIKIN PLAY. and nate wayne had deshaun foster squared up and still couldnt get it done, on that same play. ike reese had a great hit but isnt a good starting LB, BT actually tacked some people, and troy shut down steve smith like i said. it sucks that i mentioned every reason why the eagles would lose the game inbetween the lines that i preached they would win. i guess i was setting myself up for a dissapointment <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DAWK_VADER)</div><div class='quotemain'>the x-factor IMO bears is dawkins. i know im sooo biased towards him, but our D sucks against the run, and is way to agressive at time. dawkins plays to smart and isnt overagressive. last week when ahman green broke that long run to set up the GLS, dawkins was running backwards and was waiting for green to come to him, most S would go towards green but dawk is smarter. dawkins has to play over smith and davis/foster tom. i mean, troy and bobby will shut down mushin and smith, but those little screens to steve smith and foster to the outside will have to be stopped by dawk. vincent and taylor cant get off blocks that well, and lewis is on the TE, ike reese and simenaeu are(thats why we miss carlos emmons) undersized, nate wayne isnt a great tackler. its up to dawk IMO, look for him to have another 8-11 tackles, and mabe a turnover.</div>
