Alex Ferguson seems to have an ability to buy players and make them play above their level, consistently. Take Carrick for example. Alot of people were scratching their heads about Carricks transfer to united, especially cause his price was kinda high, but he's been playing fantastically for united. Im not a united fan, but thats one thing ive always admired about ferguson.
Carrick for me hasn't proved that he is worth £15,000,000. Why he would sell Van Nistlerooy, the second best striker in the prem to get him I'll never know

Actually selling Ruud was a gd thing cuz although Saha or Rooney hasn't been scoring more goals than he scores. The whole team is scoring more. And its about the team, not the player.

Yes, i know v.nistelrooy's record is fantastic. But im saying selling ruud is good now. If we sold ruud at his peak, i would have gone crazy but when he got sold to madrid in 2006, i didn't went nuts cuz he wasn't the old ruud and he wasn't having a great season plus he was disrupting the dressing room. And as i said, the TEAM is scoring, not like last time when it was all ruud.

I think it was a brilliant piece of transfer business. It's not like we've missed him.
Example of RVN's ego: Has an arguement in training with C. Ronaldo and shouts "why don't you go and cry to your daddy?" just days after Ronaldo had been given news his father had died. Ruud allegedly meant Carlos Quieroz, who was seen as a father figure to Ronaldo, but didn't say that. He then wonders why, when forced to choose, Manchester United chose to stick with the the most talented 21 year-old in Europe and ship out the 31 year-old with dodgy knees and the bad attitude. No player is bigger than his team. Beckham chose to test that and found out, Van Nistelrooy felt like he was untouchable by anyone in MUFC and found it out too. Both end up at Real Madrid. Fair enough RVN's career has continued in a similar vein but has maybe two years left, if that. Beckham has been reduced to a cash-cow shirt-seller in Asia and America.
A player who works hard and creates for others to score and a big ego striker who scores plenty but has a bad attitude who disrupts the team? I would choose Saha.
Ok, let me pose you this question: Given both rvn's record with united and his downfall because of his ego, would you rather have seem not play for united at all? If the answer is no, then surely you'll have to give him some credit and admiration?
