The reds where playing like crap and still managed to win it in the 90th. Rooney is a beast. Dida was playing good also. I would like to see Dida in the premiership. Kaka came on strong at first then slowly faded. I always thought Kaka to be kind weak in the box but he proved me wrong. They got the 2 away goals which is crucial. Cant wait till the second leg. Even if your a Man U hater u gotta admit that game was awesome

Magnificent result. I was happy to take the 2-2 but

Besides the goals, it was a great defensive effort too. Heinze was immense. Was unlucky not to block the first Kaka goal and was poleaxed by Evra for the second. Really stepped up into that lead role and was throwing himself all over the place. Brown was also solid again.

Midfield coped with Milan's packed middle as well. Fletcher, once again, was superb. Scholes was his usual immense self and Carrick has really matured into a superb player this second half of the season. He was running the game towards the end and everything was going through him.

The attacker in Rooney, Giggs and Ronaldo where sticking to their rotating game-plan for the first part but it was a good move to stick them on their opposite wings so they could cut inside and target the defender's weak side. Superb effort from Rooney with his chasing down of the defenders. Italian defences just don't like being hassled straight away. Milan's creaky back line was undone time and time again by the pace and skills of Ronaldo, like so many other defences this year. Giggs veteran savvy really helped us at times too.

I'm much more confident going into the San Siro now. We'll still need another big performance, arguably even bigger, but it's looking very very good indeed.

We have the belief that we can win in the San Siro, Milan will make it so difficult and with another defensive abscence in Evra, it wont be easy. But Heinze tonight was fantastic, really commited himself to everything.

O'Shea can slip in left back, move Fletch into right back. Or, Richardson into left back if he's fit.

I think we might see Vidic get a run out in the last 10 mins or so of next week's game.

We have good versatile players at the club, Fletch can play there if needed. He has played immense in Europe this season.

Last night really emphasised how underrated/under utilised heinze is.

I would play heinze left back instead of evra.

I thought scholes was strong in the second half

    Evra runs into Heinze

    ****Crashing sound of thunder****

Kaka runs away with the ball and scores....

It was a good game, very good, should be a very "rogue" atmosphere at San Siro, mind you.

Tomorrow, 4:45am for me, Reds vs Blues Yeehaw....

Fletcher has been brilliant in Europe this season, pity he didn't get a goal though. He's been under-rated this season.
