Surprisingly Bridge has got forward better than Cole and his crosses have been much better, I think Cole has been a bit better defensively but after his great game against Messi and Ronaldo earlier this season, his had but few good matches and has struggled, ran out of puff... for example his failure to get forward at Anfield against the lionel Pennant tragic! Where'as Bridge seems to have the old Essien bags of energy and I would have thought been fans favourite for the position of left back?
Wayne all the way. Ashley has been shown up on a few occasions this year (against Reading for one ) and is always looking to pump the ball forward to Drog at the first opportunity, whereas Wayne makes the forward runs gets balls in from wide areas and his work rate just seems a lot lot higher.
I prefer Bridge as well. He is much more of a hard worker, and he is better at crossing. defensively, i dont see an advantage for Ashley, and he is very 1 dimensional. He knows Drogba is good at getting the ball down, so doesnt feel the need to bust a gut. Bridge supports well, so its Wayne for me
everyone knows that Wayne Bridge kicks ass, I would say Bridge because he has been with the club quite a bit now and shown some great quality.
Ashley Cole is a greedy waster and isn't playing his usual game. At Arsenal he was possibly the best left back in the world but now, maybe he's told to do it off the manager i don't know, but he just tends to pump the ball forward at the earliest opportunity. Defensively i don't think he as ever been great but covered for that by worrying the other side more with his forward runs, but that seems to of dissappeared from his game and now just looks for Drogba all the time. So myself if its a defender you're looking for, its Bridge for me.
