When Ferguson took over at Man Utd it took him like 5 years to finally win the league and Man Utd a long 26 years! Why don't Man Utd fans realise this? They keep saying 17 years but their gap was 26 years.. Chelsea's gap was 51 years so they also can't say much! Benitez is still building the Liverpool team, Benitez is a better manager than Ferguson because i didn't see Ferguson winning the Champions League in his first season and then followed by FA Cup the season after. It was Gerard Houllier who ruined us.. some fans will stick up for him because he won the Uefa Cup, FA Cup & the Carling Cup but these trophys are not really major trophys. Houllier spent silly money on silly players.. Diouf ?10m, Diou ?5m, Heskey ?11m, Cisse ?14m, Kirkland ?6m and then others like L Tallec, Cheyrou and i can't belive he chose Diouf over Anelka, Worst one was he chose Cisse over Eto'o. Benitez is starting to repair the damage Houllier caused the club, the massive debts and the clear outs of the mediocore players Houllier bought. The thing with Houllier was that he bought a mediocore player and kept him for years.. Rafa gets rid of them no longer than a season later.. Morientes, Nunez, Kromkamp, Josemi.. all these stayed no longer than a year. Rafa will deliver the league title we just have to be patient, Man Utd fans can say what they want but this is a team Rafa has built with a low net rate so i think he's done brilliantly! I don't see Benitez even coming close to looking llike mounting a serious Premier League challenge. Win your cups. Liverpool fans need to face it that at the moment, they are a cup team. They can't sustain that knock-out form over the course of a full season. When you win the league, then come back and talk about Rafa Benitez being the best manager. When you win the League and FA Cup double, come back and say something. When you win the league, the FA Cup and the European Cup in the same season, then say something. Until then, you are a cup team. Your league positions show it, your point totals show it and your record shows it. Fair play to you, but anyone can do well in a cup. Look at Watford this year, Millwall a few years ago, Greece at the Euros. It's about hitting form in certain places. Leagues require constant form. Liverpool are not even close to consistent enough to challenge for the league.

It wasn't my decision. I love the FA Cup and everything it stands for. Funnily enough, I didn't quite have enougn pull in the boardroom to persuade them to stay. Its not like were 14th 15th in the league is it? We're not far off, a couple of astute signings in the summer and we'll be there. Weve shown that we can compete with the best by some of our wins in the league this season. After the start we had we've actually done well to cruise into 3rd place. Next season we'll hit the ground running you wait and see. Rafa doesn't usually make the same mistake twice. I seriously cannot beleive that Man Ure have won the league with a team like they've got. Ok we all know that the refs have done them a HUUUUUUUUGE favour this season but that team was nowhwere near good enough on paper to do as well as they have.With the exception of Ronaldo at a push Rooney, thats it!
United won the league this year because of determination. There is nothing wrong with our squad, Van Der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Scholes, Ronaldo, Rooney, Giggs.. are these guys good enough for you? Liverpool will always be 3-4 steps behind us, we dont take Liverpool serious as challengers, Chelsea worry us the most. You can stick with your cups because you will never take the F.A Premier League from Old Trafford.
Like i said Ronaldo and Rooney at a push. As for Giggs it wouldn't surprise me if he retired this season same for Scholes. But the rest you mention, not 1 of them would get in the Liverpool or Chelsea team.
