Recently I have heard much speculation of the pending arrival of Carlos Tevez at old trafford. Having watched him at the start of the season i thought he was a raw product, perhaps a little erratic and impatient at times, however watching how he's matured and is now scoring goals for fun, he really has seemed to adjusted to english football. If Tevez was to join and perhaps Nani and Hargreaves I think we would have the best attack in the prem. There's also been a lot of talk about Gareth Bale, I don't think we should buy him... yet. My team for next season would be: FOSTER NEVILLE FERDINAND VIDIC EVRA RONALDO SCHOLES HARGREAVES NANI ROONEY TEVEZ IMO that's one of the best team's in Europe
Hargreaves is nowhere near the player that Carrick is. I wish people would stop jumping on the Hargreaves bandwagon going by a few good performances in the World Cup. He has hardly set the Bundesliga on fire sinse his return from injury. I hope he does not come to Old Trafford. To much money for a slightly above average player.

United have told Bayern to get fucked the other day since they hiked up the price on Hargreaves again because they didn't qualify for the Champions League next season. Last count was £26m and United left them to it. GGG: Getting in the England team is hardly a measure of success. Have you seen half the players who were England regulars in recent years?
Yes, and whats wrong with them? The only reason shit ones get in is because of injuries. Rooney Owen Cole Lampard Gerrard Beckham Cole Terry Ferdinand Neville Yeh cause on terms of quality and expierence carrick is better than them
Carrick is such a retard. You sell your best player to fund him and he's shite. Hargreaves would walk all over him
<div class="quote_poster">soilborn Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">All those cups and glory that team has bought to these shores, huh?</div> Trophies dont matter, it's the quality of the players.

And I'm sure we would never have won the title with Van nistelrooy still here, especially the disharmony between him, Fergie, Quieroz and Ronaldo. His attitude was awful and that's just one of the many reason he had to go.

GGG, you ask, say, an Arsenal fan whether they'd rather have a squad full of quality players who don't win anything (like they have at the moment) or a squad full of decent players that wins them silverware.

<div class="quote_poster">GoGoGerrard Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Thats not the point, we were talking the ability of Carrick.</div> Carrick is a big part of the team that's won the league this year. Carrick's part of the team that's in the FA Cup final. Carrick's in the team that beat Roma, one of Italy's top teams, 7-1 and scored two world-class goals. Carrick is pushing his way itno the England set-up due to his determination and his superb passing abilities as well as his passion for the game. What more do you need? What more do you want? He's better than Hargreaves at what he does. Hargreaves is a better defensive midfielder because that is not Carrick's position. If you're looking for a player comparison, I'd go for Riquleme. A player who sits in the middle of the park and pings passes around from the defence through to the attack or wing players. He's also got some aerial ability and some decent shooting boots from beyond the 18 yard box. He's developing as a tackler too but it hasn;t really hurt his game this year, has it? First season: Premiership winners medal, FA Cup finalist and European Cup semi-finalist. You're right, that's crap. And if you want to split hairs here, we weren't talking about Carrick at all. It's a Carlos Tevez thread.
Richardson has won a premiership medal Gerrard hasnt won a premiership medal Does that mean Richardson is better than Gerrard? No. Of course not. If they dont win trophies doesnt mean that they shouldnt be picked. I dont think Carrick should be picked for England coz he usually plays crap for them, he takes a while to mould in a team. But for Man Utd this season i have been very impressed but i would like an extra midfield in Hargreaves but it shouldnt be over 16mil but it looks like it.

His passing is the most over rated thing about him.
I've watched every United game this season and his passing is superb. You're seeing it through Scouser-tinted spectacles. His long range passing is close to on a par with Scholes, who is one of the best long-passers in the English league, possibly Europe. To answer your question about his passing %age, it's 80%, with 6 goal assists. 74% tackle success rate too. Ask any Tottenham fan, they'll say his passing was one of his strongest attributes.
I think his passing is amazing, sometimes he does passes no one expects. Tottenham have certainly missed him this season.
