Which is a stronger top 4: Premiership or La Liga? Discuss! Guillem Balague said that our top 4 is the strongest in the world but the smaller teams in Spain (like Atletico) are better than the smaller teams in England (like Everton).
If you compare the budget of the Top 4 of both countries and compare relative success then I would imagine Spain's top 4 are better.
nahhh i dont think so, everyone is gettin excited beacuse this was the year were english clubs did well in europe!, last year it was spanish teams and the year before that it was the italians, it just keep going round, there are no better teams!
Actually Valencia faced Real Madrid in the final in 2000. It was 7 years ago I do think that our top 4 is stronger. No one breaks into it. Everton did once but that was the biggest joke I had. They really showed the rest of Europe how great they were in the qualifiers Spain have the huge 2, the slightly less huge but still big Valencia and a vacant 4th spot. This year, it was Sevilla, last year, Villareal and years before it was Deportivo so one club may break intop that position. I really do think their league is better than ours because more teams can challenge for the title/relegation.
There will be a significant change over the next 5 years, englands top teams will become stronger. people forget that england has only become desirable in the past 7 years because of money, and as this will continue we will become the strongest league. at the moement its debatable between spain and england.
i'm choosing england's top 4, as this season you've seen Chelsea and liverpool beat spanish champions barca in te champo league, and last season arsenal beat madrid. so i wold expct engalnds top 4 teams o be beter han spain's top 4
The top four are better in England than in Spain as sometimes there aren't a top in Spain as someone as already said. Barcelona lost to Liverpool which is the 3rd best team in england, and also Valencia lost to Chelsea. I think that now we have far better top teams but the rest of the league in spain is better. Espanyol aren't doing that well in the league but they beat Werder Bremen 5-1 on aggregate and are in the UEFA Cup final. Getafe beat Barca 4-0 the other night. You woldnt imagine Reading beating Man Utd 4-0 but all the teams in there league are very good....but top four...we have the better teams.
The premiership. 3 out of 4 teams in the semis of the champions league were english. thats enough evidence

I agree with what people have been saying in here, England's top 4 are better but Spain's mid-table is better.
Top 4 in prem are as strong as any team in the world.But the rest of the prem is so far behind. Tis a mockery !!!!!!
Premiership is stronger cuz 3 of them were in the semi's in the Champions League and none of the top 4 were even in the semi's for the La Liga top 4 teams
