Paolo Maldini has decided that at the end of the year he's going to have surgery and repair his left knee. That means the he's going to sign for yet another season.

I personally think that Maldini is still capable of doing great things with one of the top clubs in the world. It seems like the guy never ages. He's just the best and his record speaks for itself... He's the poster boy for AC Milan. Every time you think of Milan you think of Maldini.

I just hope that next year I will get a chance to watch him play one last time... This has always been a dream of mine. I watched him in Italy once when he was a young player, but to have experienced his greatness is unbelievable.

He certainly is a great player but personally I thinke he's time is over. No doubt he still has the skill and experience but he's 38 already. He is constanatly injured and his speed is far from his best. His time is over, time to retire.

What is up with Milan and players retiring at very high age? Costacurta is about 40 I think and Maldini 38.

    Still nontheless a true legend!

I am going to go as far as saying that Maldini is the best CB ever.

he can play left back i know that, guy must love football also while he was on during the Milan v Celtic game at the San Siro, The commentator said the only reason he keeps re-joining is because his wife doesnt want him around the house.

He can play both LB and CB. He mostly plays CB now because Milan have Jankulovski and Kaladze that can play LB.
