    Prologue:
Another Dutch legend in the making
Since the inevitable departure of Dennis came true
To excel and continue the steps his mentor was taking
    With Arsène guiding him through

Despite the poor run in the season
    One gunner stands out tall
For Robin van Persie has every reason
To welcome the applause from one and all

He joined from Feyenoord over three seasons ago
And has been impressive ever since
To mesmerize oppositions from the word go
And become an undisputed Highbury prince

He has the pace and the skill to see things through
    Exhilarating and without blemish
Even when it seems so impossible to do
Robin will ensure nothing short of a clinical finish

He has so many memories to keep us going
Especially in our home for ninety three years
    And his ever impressive showing
Has helped to allay the fans fears

    Brilliant goals from incredible angles
A powerful left footer and that fighting team spirit
To always resolve those nagging comeback tangles
And put the gunners right back in it!

A little to the left, a little to the right
His dribbles are not only incisive but apt
For he will not give up the ball’s fight
Till it’s in the net and the keeper looks daft!

    His season run was fantastic
But cut short by that niggling foot injury so bad
That kept him out and left us hanging on tactics
For then we knew that we have been hit hard

His goal against Charlton in contention for the prize
The ones against Blackburn very fresh in mind
The superb free kick against Fulham you cannot overemphasize
And that brilliant one against United still very hard to find

    Epilogue:
He was the top scorer for the gunners until
The set back he suffered harshly from
And I want him to know we the fans love him still
For that time to shine will unavoidably soon come

Hes sure a boost for Arsenal, remember that goal this season against Manchester United that sparked the comeback and that Henry header was the icing on the cake to beat them. We sure missed him this season.

Even though if v.Persie and Henry was fit, I still think you wouldn't be challenging for the title.

hmm. I reckon if RVP and Henry were fit we would have been more competitive.

RVP is probably the best left footer in the world IMO.

Adriano has power but RVP has Precision.

Tough one. We must go to youtube to find this out[IMG]

van persie is top drawer, give him one season fully fit and he and henry will be pukka together.

to all arsenal fans, and even other sensible football fans, i have a friend who has started a new arsenal forum and really need members to kick start it. please can some of you sign up and help us boost the conversation there.

i dont mean to steal members from here, of course this will be your regular posting spot, but it would be nice if we could get a few more gooner and football fans contributing to our site.
    cheers

Hey Dan isn't there some sort of restriction you could do to stop people with 1 post pasting links?
