I came across an interesting paradox: What happens when an irresistible force (in this case God) meets an immovable object? Its easy to scientifically explain why neither of these can exist but lets assume they can and a scientific explanation is not 100% proven so i'll explain through logic that anyone can understand and not deny why God can't be omnipotent. What if god created something so immovable that he himself can't move it? "If God is omnipotent then he can create and immovable object." If we assume the above statement is true then God can create an immovable object but He can't move it, therefore he is not omnipotent because he isn't powerful enough to move it. If we assume the above statement is false then God can't create an immovable object that he can't move, therefore he is not omnipotent because he can't create it. Conclusion: God is not omnipotent. If anyone can find fault in this paradoxical logic then please post it. And please no "ur full of shit and have nothing better to do with ur time" posts.
Disclaimer: I'm agnostic. As to God and hit's Omnipotence/Omniscience/Omnipresence/Omnislash, if he does "exist" (hard to define as existing as he is described as "existing" both in and out of the known universe), then surely these qualities would be outside of the comprehension of mortals with mortal imitations. Think of it as additional dimensions, because we exist in three (possibly four if you count time) dimensions, we cannot perceive an existence with additional dimensions. At the same time, we have no understanding of true Omnipotence/Omniscience, and by their nature it is beyond our meager mental limitations to grasp such an awesome concept. You cannot hold an immortal entity that literally operates "outside" of our rules to the same logic and reason that we humans are held to. I repeat, by his nature (if he exists), God cannot be attributed to mortal logic. I believe Einstein wrote something to the same effect, saying that a creator being would surely be beyond the capacity of our imaginations to grasp and understand.
yea im with dan we dont know enough about anything to claim things like these, most of science well physics is guess work anyway. but time is one of our dimensions, i cant remember exactly what they are. they think theres as many as 9 dimensions so anything can happen in any of them. thats how they think ghosts are seen, scientists think that there are people in your room with you right now, but you can see them and they cant see you because you are in different dimensions, but sometimes the barriers break down only slightly and you hear something or catch a glimpse of someone.
