Take your pick on how our next season would go; 1) The Glory Arsenal made 4 signings to strengthen their squad. An attacking midfielder, a clinical striker, a tall/physical defender and a genuine left back. Arsenal concentrated on the Premiership and CL and managed to win Prem and to reach the last four of the CL. They also manged to win the CC with predominantly their youth. 2) The Reality Arsenal did not sign any new players over the summer. Further Injury to TH meant RVP and Adebayor took the brunt of the pressure. Adebayor is now injured too after his previous strenuous work at the African cup. Fabregas was over played for second season in a row and is close to burnout. Lack of drive in midfield and inexperience of youth meant Arsenal fans endured yet another stressful season. As most teams invested heavily over the summer to strengthen their squad AFC found their selves drifting further down the table. After finishing fifth in Premiership, the club now looks odds on to be sold to the American otherwise Wenger, Henry and a few other players would look to new pasteurize. We are counting on Henry to be fit for next season. At the start of the season, when he was fit, he could not link up with RVP or ADe. Mentally he looked out of it too. If we does not deliver, we WILL have another CR*P season. My advice is to stop relying on him and make new signings.
I think Henry will come back strong next season, alot of the international players started out having a bad season after the world cup and Henry had the misfortune to get injured before he could start improving like the rest of them, saying that I stil dont think Arsenal have a chance next season it just doesn't seem like their time to win the Premiership its gonna be between United and Chelsea and sadly I think thats how its gonna stay for afew seasons to come, depending on who Liverpool buy of course. Hopefully Arsenals time will come again but I cant see it happening anytime soon.
Without decent signins you would be the same, maybe a longer run in the CL and 3rd place in the prem...buts thats bout it.
I reckon third behind United and Chelsea, doing well in both domestic cups and decent in the Champions League.
