I hate most commentators. They're bad at their job. People like Motson are only there for nostalgia purposes, even though it's clear he's a senile old codger. People like Pleat are only there becayse they were once involved with a mediocre football team and managed to royally cock it up when you look at the team now. So I ask you, who are your most loved and loathed commentators? Hate: John Motson Mark Lawrenson Clive Tyldsley David Pleat Andy Gray Jonathon Pearce That Scouser who does Watford Vs. Middlesborough and other crap games on MoTD. Tolerate: Martin Tyler Love: Peter Brackley (when commentating on Italian football ONLY) Remember, this is COMMENTATORS not PUNDITS.
Martin Tyler is my favourite commentator, then Simon Hill. Andy Gray is pretty good and there's a couple of the ones who call the Premiership matches that are alright but I'm not sure of their names.
Jonathan Pearce and Barry Davies. Mark Lawrenson and David Pleat. They throw in unecessary, arrogant comments, especially Lawro, he thinks he's funny but he's not.
