He's never really had this type of player before, other than Stevie G, and is unwilling to tolerate egos or players who won't fit into his team structure.
Why not buy Alex for Carragher and Torres for Gerrard then like Arsenal you can have a totally foreign team, a foreign manager and no idea how to win in England! Come on Lee are there not any English boys worth spending out on?
The side you ahve picked looks good but I cant see Alves playing on the left. I have the feeling that Alonso will go to Barcelona over the summer and this will allow Mascherano and Gerrard to cement their partnership in midfield. With Lucas being eased into the team from the bench Simao or Quaresma would be better on the right wing. Benitez has said for the first time that he intends to 'spend big' and from the owners' comments they will beack him with the cash he needs. It looks like being an interesting summer all round.

(Chelsea have struggled since losing duff, gallas and huth and the injuries and that is due to squad weakening) The fact is Rafa likes squad rotation, so Liverpool need players who can come in and do the job.
Guys, there is a significant difference of "Who Should Benitiz sign" and "Who COULD Benitez sign" The summer can come and those players could be snapped up by anyone, Alves is likely to stay in Spain and Nani is going to United or staying in Portugal. I cant see Eto'o leaving Barca in the summer unless they make a major striker signing. Get your hopes up boys because you will be lucky to get 3 of the mentioned players.
He should sign a back up keeper, A new right back, A left winger and Tevez and Eto'o would be great signings.
I think we should sign another Left Winger and a Forward because that is all we need. Hopefully Pennant can play the way he played towards the end of the season next season so Gerrard plays in the Middle. We would probably have to sell Alonso or Sissoko. I just hope we buy a great forward, thats all i care about atm.
Yeah this looks a quality squad really does, but do you really think we could afford both tevez and eto, with both of the costing upto at ?40 to ?50 mil?
