That really is a narrow minded thing to say, can't belive you say C.Ronaldo is the best player in the world when he is far from it! C.Ronaldo is a brilliant player no doubt about that, but best player in the world? Your having me on! Where was he against Arsenal? Where was he against Milan? Where was he against Chelsea? Even against Liverpool he was anonymous, despite that free kick what else did he do in open play? C.Ronaldo isn't the best player in the world simply because he dissapears in the big games which supposidly meant to have his name on! Lionel Messi: At 18 years old destroys Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, scores a hatrick against Real Madrid, scores a wonder goal against Getafe, scores Champions League goals. Ricardo Kaka: Ripped Liverpool to shreds in 2005, scores brilliant goal in the World Cup, rips open teams like Celtic and made Manchester United his own bitch! Dider Drogba: Scores some very important goals, scored winner against Liverpool, Everton, Man Utd, won Chelsea the Carling Cup and FA Cup, scored winner against Barcelona & also put Chelsea level at the Camp Nou late on, got Chelsea level against Valencia.. what else do you want from a striker? Anyway those 3 players are the players I think should be Gold, Silver & Bronze world player of the year... in no particular order.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a good player, but he's not that good. He doesn't deserve to win the World Player of the Year award, he seems to only play well against the average teams, and he's not always there in the big games when it counts. Messi, Drogba and Kaka are definitely better than him IMO. They deserve the award more, but I can't say who'll win it, there are so many people who think Ronaldo deserves it.
Ronaldo isn't far away from it, but he isn't close to it either unless he turns up in big games and works harder. Kaka in my opinion has already got the FIFA world player of the year award
