Strange behavior is well known for the Top players, Managers etc, but do you have any superstitions associated with football.

When i played i had to be the last one out of the dressing room.

When going to home games to watch the boys i had to go round the ground completely before going in, not always easy back in the days of football violence, getting past the old bill "Protecting" the away fans.

When I watch a game on TV I HAVE to have at least a six pack in the fridge. I don't know why! [IMG]

when i played, i always rolled my sleeved, had a wrist band on my left wrist, i looked around the ground for inspiration, and i always no matter who they were, when i played holding midfielder, (433 formation), told the other two central midfielders to come back and help, and shield. But not really superstitious like the Brazilians and co...

I always put the right boot on first for some reason. And when i play Aussie Rules i play with one sock up and one down for some reason. I dont know why but i just reckon its good luck.

I used to wear the same boxer shorts each week in my matches until they got too small for me. I always put on my left shin guard first, then my right one, then my left sock, then my right sock, then my left boot, then my right boot.

Come to think of it, I didn't have too many superstitions when I played.

EDIT: I never used to talk much in the dressing room before the game, or even if I was on the bench. I'd always be watching the game.

I have to clap at to the songs before the game starts I was late into the Old Firm at Celtic Park in Febuary or March and the start of the game songs were finished and we lost 1-0 Also at the Hearts game I never clapped and we got beat 3-1.

I dont take a blue lighter to Celtic games for some reason.
