<div class="quote_poster">bringiton Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">All you lot shouting for Cantona i think you missed out a more influential foreigner who won a lot more games for you a certain Mr Shmeichel. Also the Sunderland goal if you look the final pass Cantona was offside.</div>

Sure Shmeichel was influencial but Cantona was our main talisman and his plays onli make players around him raise their level. And we have won games because of Cantona. The winner against Liverpool was just 1 of the few...and if he was offside why the heck noone has ever said this goal was controversial? He was definitely onside

I would have to say Bergkamp. He was just in a different level.

Short memories some people! It was brought up. Even the unbiased dickhead Paddy Crerand said afterwards that you can't cancel a goal like that just because its offside! So if he accepts it was offside it plainly was.

its got to be david ginola for me, a legend at newcastle, scored some of the most wonderful goals i have ever seen, and was a big player for them, and in the premiership.
