and then to make it into an animation all you have to do is this:

lets say youve got 3 layers.. you go to 'Window > Animation' and a little box opens, you get the three layers youve created together and then you duplicate the top layer and put one up the top and one down the bottom.. then you click the 'next frame' button (or whatever the button is) and then drop the opacity by 10 or 20 (dependin on how long you want it).. do this until the opacity is 0 and then do it to layer 2 and 3 and then stop.. then press play and it should work..

The only thing then is you save it and it will go lesser quality because it has to be a GIF to be animated. Does anybody know of a way to save an animation with good quality? And not saving it as a flash/swf file.

Photoshop. Everybody uses Photoshop and basically everything that's made and posted here is done on Photoshop.

<div class="quote_poster">Hudge Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Sorry I thought it was different for user bars.</div>You don't have to use Photoshop. You can use programs like Fireworks (formerly made by Macromedia, bought out by Adobe, who make Photoshop) or even Paint Shop Pro, but Photoshop is top of the pile and most professional graphic designers use it, so it's definitely the best for amateurs like us who just make sigs and user bars.
