With HArgreaves Nani and Anderson all midfielders (anderson defender as well)
how will they fit all of the superstars in?

    ---------Foster/VDS---------
    --Neville--Rio----Vidic--Evra--
    ---------Hargreaves---------
    ----Carrick-Scholes/Anderson-
    --Ronaldo--------Giggs/Nani--
    -------------Rooney---------

It'll be a 4-1-2-2-1 or a 4-1-2-3. It's not tough to see. Nani and Anderson haven't been bought to slot straight into the line up Giggs and Scholes needed to be replaced since they've got maybe 1 year, 2 years at the absolute maximum, left in them. That gives the coaches and the team a year to help them settle in, get them up to speed with the way we play and then gradually take over from Scholes and Giggs for the long run.

It'll work just fine. It's not an instant fix, it's a plan for the future. People need to realise we're not the kind of club that buys young players and expect an instant impact. If that were the case, Ronaldo would be long gone since he wasn't really producing anything other than tricks for his first two seasons.

I like bringiton, even though he is biased, he is entertaining, and i look forward to all his posts. Top poster. (no sarcasm)

But saying that the ref plays a part in our games...98/99 treble season. At anfield, Man utd cruising 2-0. Ref sends of Irwin for 'kicking the ball away' for a second booking, no way did he deserve it. Then Jesper Blomquist did a perfect tackle and the ref gave a penalty. Crusing 2-0, we drew 2-2 denting our title chances. But we still won the league and two other trophies but that ref could of ruined our season. When middlesborough denied a blatant last minute penalty, they had nothing to play for. Not as bad is it?

Not to mention Agger tripped Saha in the fixture this past season at anfield but we won that aswell [IMG]

    Liverpool's formation:

    ..........................Reina.........................
    Finnan....Agger....Carragher....Riise...........
    ..............Referee...................................
    Pennant......Gerrard.....Mascherano...Malouda (you could get him)
................the crowds atmosphere (which will disappear in the new stadium)
    .........Lampost......Kuyt.........................

    Yeh that seems bout right?

Yup striker, midfielder and Left back. He wants to play left back but he wont be able to play there as Evra is immense.

*sarcasm* im so good i could probably, like, take on liverpool by myself without scholes and carrick behind me.. im so tank at soccer.. lol no but seriously now, theyll do fine with all their players.. just swap their strikers around so no one gets tired.. maybe make the midfield 4 (like a 4-4-2) and then when those 4 or even 1 or 2 get tired just take it back to a 4-3-3 or a 4-1-2-2-1 as BA said

Well, Anderson won't be a starter next season, he is brought in for long term so Scholes will still start next season. If Anderson and Nani plays then Anderson will be the attacker midfielder like Kaka while Hargreaves will be the front sweeper while Nani will play on the left wing.

i reckon that could be a possible formation for the upcoming season. its a tuff one but ferguson will make the right decision. i trust him.

SCholes and Giggs? Surely start Anderson on the bench and replace him with scholes in that formation.

That formation would work in future seasons but it wouldn't happen this season. The team does seem really young without Scholes and Giggs in there. Is Gary Neville anywhere near retirement?

of coarse Anderson cannot jump straight into the team...that is not expected...anderson and nani will learn from scholes and giggs as they have bucket loads of experince.

Gary still has a few seasons in him yet...he is a great captain for manchester united and without him we will struggles...as it showed in the later stages of the premier league.

I also warn of first years of Potugese teens coming straight into the premiership. I wouldn't be surprised if they both had very disapointing seasons.

thats extremely tuff...it took ronaldo 2 season to settle down into the premierhsip but nani is a completely different person. his style of play is fast and attacking which suite the english premiership nicely!

Looks like what I would go for too but I feel Fergy will still go for scholes next season but then gradually replace him with anderson [IMG] Also I'd prefer to see Foster in goal I've always felt VDS is very overrated
