<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CHAMPIONS Celtic will open the defence of their league title with a home match against Kilmarnock on Saturday, August 4, 2007.

The championship flag will be raised at Paradise on the first day of the season for the second consecutive year, and like last season, Jim Jefferies? men provide the opposition.

After the opening fixture, Celtic are scheduled to travel to Falkirk for an away match on August 11, while the first Glasgow derby of the season has been pencilled in for Saturday, October 20, at Ibrox.

The other two pre-split derbies are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at Celtic Park, and Saturday, March 29, at Ibrox.

History will be made on Saturday, October 6, at Fir Park when Celtic are scheduled to take on Gretna for the first time in the club?s history.

The last, pre-split, fixtures of the campaign are scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 5, with Celtic due to entertain Motherwell at Celtic Park.

As Setanta Sports have yet to announce details of televised matches, and clubs have yet to learn of their UEFA competition commitments, Celtic fans should note that all dates and times of fixtures are subject to change.</div>

Will this season be as easy as last season was for Celtic or do you expect Rangers to put up more of a fight for the title?

Hopefully someone else can steal the title, then it won't be boring.
