<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Barcelona claim they have agreed a ?16million fee for Thierry Henry.

Reports in Spain have emerged suggesting the Arsenal striker has signed a four-year deal with Barcelona.

Cadena Ser radio, the station that broke the news of David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane's moves to Real Madrid, have stated that Barcelona will pay ?24million (?16million) for the Arsenal forward.

The station, which quotes Barcelona officials, says Henry has already put pen-to-paper on a contract spanning until 2011.

Spanish newspapers have also reported the story, but a spokesman from Barcelona has told Sky Sports News that the deal is not yet finalised.

The spokesman claims Henry's move is 'not totally done and dusted' and has insisted that discussions are still ongoing between Arsene Wenger and his Barcelona counterparts.

Barcelona have been tracking Henry for over 12 months, despite the Frenchman signing a long-term deal with The Gunners last summer.

The Catalan giants are looking to strengthen this summer after losing out to Real Madrid in the Spanish title race.

And after Arsenal's disappointing season in the Premiership it appears Henry has made the decision to continue his career at Camp Nou.

Speculation about his future has continued to mount in recent weeks, especially since the departure of David Dein. </div>

He'll go. He's been looking for an escape route since Dein left. Barca want him so badly they'll give him whatever he wants.

This means Wenger will go, and other players will want out once he goes. Arsenal will freefall.

    I will piss myself laughing.

Not sure you can call him over-rated. He's lethal around the edge of the area most of the time.

Over-Rated?...you need to go watch some youtube clips my friend... to not notice what henry has done in the prem, personally your best chelsea striker wouldnt hold a candle to him on his best day.

On the other subject.....its really a sad day for us goones if its true, but we managed to do well even without him for most of the season, so theres still hope for us and hopefully we can get somebody out there that can fill his gap, but it wont be easy....[IMG] , but 16Million is a joke for him. he should be at least in 22-25Mil.

honestly you are kidding yourself. Henry might have been worth that much last year but not this year. 16mil is a reasonable price for Henry.

It will be sad to see him leave the prem but it will be good also because i reckon arsenal will really srtuggle without him.

Not good for Arsenal or the Premiership to see him go, he's one of the best foreigners to ever play in the league and he's definitely not over-rated. Not even close. Apprently Arsenal wanted 30mil but because he's pushing 30 Barca was able to lower the price.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"><font color=""Black"">Barcelona-bound Thierry Henry has spoken of his reasons for quitting Arsenal for the Camp Nou - and one of them is that he could not face life at Emirates Stadium without manager Arsene Wenger.

The French striker - who is set to move to the Spanish giants in a deal reported to be worth ?16million on a four-year contract - told fans in an open letter published in the Sun his reasons for moving on.

Henry admitted the departure of David Dein and the continuing uncertainty regarding Wenger's future were the main reasons for his decision to leave.</font>

<font color=""Black"">"Arsene has been part of my life for as long as I can remember."

"Unfortunately and understandably he has said that at this moment he will not commit to the club past the expiration of his current deal which finishes at the end of the coming season.

"I respect his decision and his honesty but I will be 31 at the end of next season and I cannot take the chance to be there without Arsene Wenger and David Dein.

"This is solely my decision, no-one has forced me to do anything and I will represent myself in this transaction. I feel it is something I just had to do."

The former Monaco man is looking forward to the challenge of playing for Barcelona.

"Barcelona are a wonderful club steeped in tradition and play beautiful football. I'm sure I will be very happy there," continued Henry.

"But I will miss the Arsenal fans dearly, they have supported me through thick and thin.

"They will always be in my heart, as will all the fans who make the game here so special. I will always have a special bond with Arsenal Football Club."

The Frenchman is expected to undergo a medical next Monday before signing a four-year deal at the Spanish giants.

"I still must pass a medical on Monday but yes, I have chosen Barcelona," Henry told French sports daily L'Equipe.

"I will sign there for the next four seasons.

"Nothing has been signed yet but both sides reached an agreement on Friday."</font></div>
