<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yes but the question is, would those players like Fabregas, Adebayor, Clichy, Flamini, Walcott would stay at the club for 3 of 4 more seasons? I mean, David Dein has left, now the player they looked up to Henry is certainly leaving, and another certainty is that their mentor Arsene Wenger is also maybe leaving. Think abt it, all these guys leaving, do u think those young talented players would stay without them?</div>

That is the only worry. If they lose the talent then its over. But seriously, they should be able to keep the talent why not? They have a massive stadium and can afford to pay larger wages due to their monthly revenue. Im sure they will replace Henry. It was unfortunate that both Henry and Van Persie were injured for long periods this season, and yet they were a point away from finishing 3rd, which says a lot.

Frankly, up to a certain extent, i dont think 16 million is that bad. Lets take points into consideration. Henry is nearly 30 and has a maximum of 3 or 4 years in him because Henry is a player that relies heavily on pace, and once reaching a certain age he will lose his pace. This season he has been injured for long periods. Who knows how good he will be as far as next season goes?

As for Darren Bent being 16 milllion, that is slightly overpriced but not much. He consistently scores 15+ goals for a struggling club in the premiership. In West Ham, i am sure he will get more opportunities to score and could very well get a return of 20+ goals which is a bloody good goal tally. Lets not forget, he is english which means he will settle in almost immediatley. He is still young. Many factors need to be taken into consideration. Lets compare-

    -Bent much younger than Henry.
-Henry just had long term injury.
-Henry scores for top team like Arsenal whereas Bent scores for a struggling Charlton.
-Bent will settle into West Ham almost immediatley.
-Henry may not settle in at Barcelona at all.
-Bent is playing at Charlton, and is more important to Charlton than Henry is to Arsenal, so Charlton will demand more money.
-Henry will require nearly double Bents salary, so Arsenal are having a good load lifted of their wage bill.

Do u think those young guns would stay at Arsenal just because they have a big stadium? Do u think they really care abt the wages? They have lost their mentor, talisman, 2nd father, etc. If i was them it would certainly unsettle me and when the new manager comes who knows what kind of football would they play? The young guns were thought to play flair and flowing football and if they get a manager who likes to play direct football if Wenger leaves then those young guns would certainly leave. But thats if Wenger leaves

It might be a good thing that Henry has left the Arsenal- for England at least. If young Walcott can get more games under his belt, both in the Prem and at under-21 level, the future could be looking bright for the National T

Arsenal is already looking for a replacement for Henry and I think if Walcott plays he will have some gd games but I don't think he will be consistent because he is still a raw player in my opinion.

Why is Everyone worried about our Strikers?

Van Persie, Last season stamped his reason for staying and was one of the best players for Arsenal untill his Injury,

Adebayor, Would be great as a second Striker and also has the ability to mis-place the keeper all the time.

Walcott, Still young but as URZ said more games under his belt and he'll be really good

Bendter, Returns from loan and an amazing prospect, would be 3/4 in line but really does have the potential.

At forst i was really saddened by Titi leaving but now im coming round to the fact that Maybe it was a good thing, If Barca wanted him next year i think we'd struggle to get £10mill. With this money Wenger should buy an already established and quality player to possibly fill his boots[IMG]

LOL I am certainly not worried about your strikers - I used to be.

    V Persie - I can see leaving
Adebayor - misses the goal often as well
Walcott - easy to be misguided I think a lot of people realise he is not all he promised to be or likely to either
    So that leaves Bendtner

    ROFLMAO

Im sure we are going to have a modest season despite what people here are saying...it will feel wierd not having Henry on the line-up, but sooner or later we were going to experiment this, to me, the sooner the better. But Wenger need to spend money, Im really pissed cause he agreed to a 16 Mil deal for Henry, we could have gotten 20 al least for him. Wenger will probably go and so will fabregas, but we will find a way to remain on top like we always have....Go you Gooners!!!!!!!!!!!

arsenal might struggle a bit but not too much! we still have quality players in the squad and we can bring players from the youth team. and can i just say arsenals youth team is the most successful!
