There is nothing better than dropping back to your own endzone and throwing that good old 100 yard bomb. The raiders were unstoppable in that game cause Bo Jackson was crazy.

If thats Tecmo Super Bowl for the nes, I have a crazy tip for you guys....the best returnman in the game is not even a player that is supposed to return kicks, you wont believe who is the shiftiest returner....Its Meathead himself, Mike Tice, I think hes on teh Saints if I remember correctly, hes unstoppable once you learn to play him, I used to return every kickoff for a TD with him

In the original Tecmo Bowl for the NES (not the Super version), Jerry Rice ran a crossing route for SF that was virtually unstoppable, even if you called the right defense. That play had to be banned or "only used X number of times" when my brother and I played or fisticuffs would ensue.

I could get an interception on that play about once ever six or seven times it was run IF I were playing as Cleveland. One of their DBs was really good.

Brent Jones' pattern on the Pass 3 play was the same way. You couldn't stop it. I kept my old NES (my wife still likes to play Tetris on it.) and from time to time I still fire up the old Tecmo game and return to my roots. Occasionally, I punch the slobber out of Mike Tyson as well!

Mike Tysons Punchout for the NES is still the greatest boxing game of all time in terms of playability and sheer fun!

For most of you, it has been a long time since you played... I still have my NES and the only game that works is Super Techmo Bowl. I actually have a season going right now with the Niners... Man, talk about 100 yard passes!!! I love the fact that when you break past the defense and they catch up to you, all you have to do is keep going at diagonal angles rapidly and they'll never tackle you.

I'm glad you brought up the Mike Tice idea beef. I'm going to try that out tommorrow. =D

Speaking of other great games for the NES.. I have always loved these two. Super Spike V-Ball and Super Dogde-Ball. I still play those to this very day and if anyone wants to get together and get their arse kicked royally at some Tchmo, just name the time and place and I'll bring the damn system... BWA HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!!........ Of course, it might take about 10 minutes of blowing into the cartrigde, smacking the system, and doing my special indian rain dance to get the darn thing to work!! LOL!! Gogo: I do the ole' slap and blow in the cartridge thing too. That's too funny. I did enjoy Superspike V-ball as well.

SF: Last time you were bragging about how much game you had...you got your butt royally kicked in fantasy football. lol!

I think anyone who had or has a NES knows of the slap and blow method, another method I found to be effective is to put the cartridce in and hold it all the way down, I found this works for a lot of games, test it and if it works for your games just slide another game in on top of the one your playing, that will hold it in place nicely

The days of Paperboy, I didnt even remember that game until you brought it up. I mainly stuck with Mario but played my fair share of techmo as well.
