<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Arsenal have announced they have agreed a deal to sign Croatian international striker Eduardo da Silva. The Dinamo Zagreb star will move to Emirates Stadium for an undisclosed fee, subject to a medical, after agreeing a four-year deal in North London. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was forced into the transfer market by Thierry Henry's decision to join Barcelona, and had been linked with a wide array of players including West Ham's Carlos Tevez and Michael Owen and Obafemi Martins of Newcastle. However, in keeping with his track record in North London, the Frenchman has pounced for a largely unheralded talent and, coincidentally, the man who scored the first European goal at Emirates Stadium in a UEFA Champions League qualifying tie last season.</div> continues here According to Dinamo Zagreb arsenal have offered ?16.25 M well atleast arsenal have 1 striker...
Have you forgot Adebayor and RVP, Wolf? I think its a decent signing but any player has to prove himself.
16.25million for Da Silva, jesus christ the transfer market has entered hyper inflation. No way in hell is this guy worth that amount of money. Well Arsenal thats good business, sell the best player you have for 16million then buy Da Silva, a player nowhere near the standard of a top striker, for 16.25million.
I suppose when I look at it from that angle I have got to agree with Flight again, I forgot Henry went for 16mil
<div class="quote_poster">Lennon 18 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Have you forgot Adebayor and RVP, Wolf?</div> Actually i did forget them 2
Lets be honest, why wouldnt you forget Adeayor and RVP? They havnt exactly caught the eye of everyone as major Arsenal players.
Well Adebayor looks like he will turn out a decent striker... RVP has one of the best left foots in the world IMO.
RVP has done basically nothing since he came to Arsenal, too much hype yet we have only seen glimpses. And I wouldnt say he has the best left foot in the world, there are alot of people ahead of RVP.
I said one of the best left foots I never said he has the best left foot also I agree he has been pretty much in the shadows at Arsenal.
It's not £16.5 mil its £7.5 mill initially and extras such as Arsenal winning cups etc that will add to it to a possible maximum of £16.5mill anyways good signing and i hope he can make his presence felt

Apparently some people got the translation from Croatian to English wrong, the Dinamo president said he was worth 16mil, while saying it's the biggest transfer involving a Croatian player ever. Good signing for Arsenal and hopefully he can get even better at the Emirates Stadium.
He isn't Croatian he is Brazilian he just decided to represnt Croatia on the national stage because he's lived there since he was like 15 or something like that.

Thats way too much for him.</div> yeah i was reading it cost them 16 ESPNsoccernet - England - Arsenal signing Da Silva could have cost ?16m thats as much as they got for henry
It gets me how people can rate him without actually seeing that much of him. Just because Arsends signed him doesn't mean that he's gonna be any good. He could turn out to be the new Franny Jeffers.
