Ok Chelsea are gonna have to make some tough decisionson on their selections and formations. Start with defence If Chelsea buy Daniel Alves I would probaly think he would be first choice right back but there is also Paulo Ferreria and Glen Johnson to compete. Tal Ben Hain or Ricardo Carvahlo? Wayne Bridge or Ashley Cole? Midfield... Murinho has said he wants to play a 4-3-3 with the wing men. In this formation you would probaly play Essien, Ballack and Lampard as the three but then there is Makelele and Mikel in good touch. Joe Cole can also play in the mid three in this formation. If he was to play a 4-4-2 or a diamond 4-4-2 then you would think Essien and Lamps would be the CMs and Robben/Molouda/J.Cole on the left mid and Wright-Phillips/Ballack on the right, but that would be tricky cause cutting any of these players to the bench is hard. Up front... If Murinho was to play 4-3-3 with the wing men I would think his ideal plan would be for Drogba to play in front of the two wingers... but what if Sheva hits form? He has said if this does happen he will not hesitate to play him and go back to 4-4-2... On the 4-3-3 who do they pick Robben or Molouda or J.Cole on the left or is Robben better than Wirght Phillips on the right wing, Robben has played a bit on the right previously... Is Wright-Phillips good enough? Okay... that was a mission Thoughts?
I think he should go with 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield. -------------------Cech------------------ Ferreria-------Terry------Carlvalho------Cashley ------------------Essien------------------- Malouda/J Cole---------------------Robben/J Cole -----------------Fatty/Ballack--------------- ----------Drogba/Sheva/Pizzaro/Kalou--------
Dont worry about Mourinho benching players, it's his own fault that hes got himself into a tangle. His strike force should lighten the load though when Shitchenko gets heaved off back to Milan and SWP gets heaved off somewhere because at the minute Shitchenko isnt good enough to play for a Championship side and SWP is just a bit player.
We all know, that next season, a lot of Chelsea players will be leaving. Not the first teamers, but the 2nd string (which aren't half bad).
