<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Simao Sabrosa has completed his switch from Benfica to Atletico Madrid.

The two clubs agreed a fee of ?20million (?13.4million) fee on Thursday and the Portuguese winger has now finalised a four-year contract with Atletico.

Atletico finished seventh in la Liga last season but they have spent heavily this summer and Simao is confident of breaking into the top three.

"I chose a move to Atletico because they presented me with a very ambitious project," Simao said as he was presented to the Spanish press.

"My objective is to win things. I will work hard to do this.

"The club are signing good players and we should be in the top three in the league."

Simao becomes Atletico's fifth major signing of the summer following the arrivals of Diego Forlan, Raul Garcia, Cleber Santana and Luis Garcia. </div>

Pretty good move by Atletico. They have bought some good players since Torres' departure.

    Your thoughts?

I rate him, he played well for Portugal at the World Cup and he's often on form for Benfica so it's definitely a good signing for Atletico. Who else have they bought since Torres left?

    [IMG] Didn't read that part.

I bought Raul Garcia on FIFA 07 Manager Mode, he was a good player so that must mean he's good in real life [IMG] They do have some good signings, Diego Forlan plays well in Spain and Luis Garcia is obviously a great player. Not sure about the last one though.

Athletico must be laughing at the money they have raked in through Torres' departure. Forlan, Simao and Luis Garcia will be a great force to drive them forward in La Liga.

Judging by their signings i think Atletico will be pushing for a spot in the Champions league but they should at least get UEFA cup this season[IMG]
