Okay, lets just cut out the cheating and the diving and just talk about his abilities for a moment okay? I believe C.Ronaldo is the best player in the planet right now. Period. There, I said it, I dare u to prove me wrong. 1. EPL: 31 starts, 3 Subs, 17 goals , 14 assist - How good is that? 2. Strong mentality - After being hammered by the English press after the incident in the WC, the way he just came back and put on a show makes it more unbelievable. 3. Trickery - We all know how skillful Ronaldo is, so lets just skip this 4. Cup performances(they're not bad) - 11 UCL starts, 3 goals, 5 assist 6 FA Cup starts, 1 subs, 3 goals, 1 assist 5. An aerial threat 6. Great footwork with agility and pace 7. Also being influential with his country Portugal, arguably the best player for his countrys run into the semi-finals in the WC and should have won the young player of the tournament. 8. Hes more mature - He passes the ball now more often, he is doing tricks at the right times, and his final products is ever so improving. 9. Hes only 22 10. His crosses and shots are deadlier than ever 11. Has a good free kick (for long range) 12. Highly influential with his team Man Utd 13. Was the main reason why the team won the Premiership 2006/2007 14. Kaka might have an awesome UCL campaign with 10 goals, but look at his league peformances, 30 starts, 1 sub, 8 goals, 6 assists. He is 2nd best in my opinion. 15. Comfortable with either foot and could play in either flanks and upfront aswell.
Ugh, one good season... Can't see him having another one of those, not with Nani and Anderson about. But if he does and does it season after season, then and only then can you consider him "the best". For now, he is just another player.
I agree with Dan, his season was good but I can't see him being like that every year until he's in his 30's. I've never liked him since he dived against us and I'll always despise him, and not just because he's talented. When he uses his talent to do something good, I'll respect that.
For now, hes only 22 and hes mentality is very strong so do not underestimate him. Plus, Nani and Anderson will need time to adapt so they won't be an instant success. And I don't want you to be mistaken, I'm only talking abt being the best of 2006/2007 season. And he is in my opinion the best player for that season.
I agree with United4ever in my opinion he is the best player in the world atm illd hate to be a defender in the premierleague. He has the best tricks and probably the ebst on the ball too.
I think this year he is going to hav a different one from last simply because he has some (very little though) competition in Nani and Anderson. If he has a better year this year compared to last then im convinced hes one of the best players in the world.
Whats amazing from Ronaldo in the 2006/2007 season, he was a consistent top class peformer. And that is difficult especially for a winger. Plus Kaka is more of an attacking player anyway and Ronaldo can score and create goals consistently and thats what helped him in my opinion the best player of 2006/2007. Kaka would probably win the European player of the year but Ronaldo will win the FIFA World player of the year
