Ignore the prices in the brackets, it's from an Aussie sports website so they convert it so the dumb ones know how much it is. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">REAL Madrid will this week offer AC Milan ?90 million ($145 million) for the Italian side's Brazilian star Kaka, Spanish sports daily Marca has reported. If the deal goes through it would be the most expensive transfer in football history. The offer will be made "probably Wednesday or Thursday" in Milan during a meeting between officials of the two clubs which officially will discuss the possible transfer of Real Madrid forward Julio Baptista, the newspaper said. "Real Madrid will launch a total offensive this week for Kaka," it said. Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has put Kaka, who was inspirational in Milan's Champions League triumph last season, on the top of his wish list. But the 25-year-old is under contract with AC Milan until June 2011 and he has said he is happy to stay at the Italian side. "Real Madrid are a fantastic club, but money isn't everything," he told Italian news agency ANSA last week. "I have also learned from friends who have left Milan how they deeply regretted doing so. I want to make history here," he added at the time. The biggest transfer in football history so far was that of Zinedine Zidane when he signed for Real Madrid from Italian side Juventus in 2001 for ?75 million ($120 million).</div> By the sounds of what Kaka said it won't happen, but it's interesting that they're bidding that much. I wonder if AC Milan would consider accepting the bid, I doubt they would want him to leave but you never know, they probably thought that about Shevchenko a few years ago but then they sold him to Chelsea.
I know that there is all this speculation of Kaka leaving. But I doubt he would ever leave Milan. And definitely wouldn't go to Spain.
Sheva was 29 odd aswell. If this happens I will be absolutely speachless that Real could pull off another seemingly impossible transfer but for now, it is so very unlikely.
Doubt this will happen, but just imagion if it does. I think Milan could benifit from it. Imagion how many top Quality players they could buy with the money for Kaka? On the other hand Kaka leaving could effect there style of attack as he is the biggest thret. I think its pure speculation and it wont happen.
It's not speculation, it will happen but AC Milan won't accept it. They'd be stupid to let him go at 25, or even when he's older IMO.
AC Milan will definitely benefit it more than Real. I mean, 60mil! You could buy either 2-3 world class players in exchange for Kaka.
I bet he will leave ACM in a couple more season, most great brazilians play for Real as tradition, so I feel he will eventually play there.

AC won't let him leave.</div> How can you say he's not worth 60mil pounds, 13mil more than the current record? He might not be as good as Zidane was when he was bought for 47mil in 2001 but the costs have gone up.
In 3 years I think Robben, Fabregas and Kaka will all be at Real, probaly with Robben leaving this summer, Cesc the next, and finally Kaka on the third. Hopefully Robben doesn't leave this summer but.
