I think it's Carragher. He has been a rock for Liverpool for ages and hes the main reason why Liverpool has conceded the least goals last season

Or maybe Gilberto Silva. He is the one who just sweeps in front of the back four and he does it superbly. He is certainly for me the most important player for Arsenal

Carvalho- An excellent defender, He was Chelsea's rock when JT was out and is excellent on the counter and showed his attacking spark, a bit un-noticed.
Robbie Keane, Stewart Downing, John Obi Mikel and Carragher are also ver underrated.

As said in the 1st comment Carragher, and is especially by that clown McClaren. Also Peter Crouch people call him shite because he's tall and look very silly for it. Just ask Arsenal fans after he whacked that hat trick past them.

Like you said, Carragher and Gilberto are two that come to mind straight away but then there are so many players who are always consistent but only mentioned by their own fans and not in the media because they don't get the statistics or score goals as often, if at all. And an example for this, I can tell you that for Middlesbrough last season, James Morrison played well when he was on the pitch because he's young and he took advantage of his time, trying to show what he can do and he did that.

  5. Colonel Ronan

    Colonel Ronan Continue...?

I also think Kalou is. He is always a good replacement if Sheva or Drogba are out.

Van Persie is pretty underrated too I think... People don't really see him as a goal scorer with amazing technique. Check out some of his videos on YouTube.

Now S.Finnin, he is underrated, was both Liverpool's and the premier league's best defender last season and I've not seen one person mention him on this forum.

Gilberto is and also i reckon Hleb is as well his foot work is sensatinal IMO, Arsenal players out the way i think Crouch is over rated as he was insulted so much when he joined Liverpool and then he showed everyone espeacially for england out playing Rooney and all the other England strikers[IMG] Also i think Carragher as someone has already said and Mccarthy is an amzing force for Blackburn.

Yeah u're right Hleb has great footwork but he needs to work on his scoring abilities.

Why does he need to? He's a winger not a forward and as long as he can set up goals and play well he's fine. I do think he is underrated also.

I'm just saying because Arsenals old wide men like Pires and Ljungberg used to be scoring wingers and now Thierry is gone Arsenal need to score from all over the park.

No! Toure isn't under-rated. I think a lot of people here recognize him as one of the best defenders in the Premiership.

I also think Nikey Shorey is underrated. Fantastic left-back and could easily take Cashley's Coles place in the England setup near in the future

I was gon' start a new thread, but might as well bring an old one back.

My two cents on most underrated players in the premiership: Morten Gamst-Pedersen and Mikel Arteta.

No offence Dan, but you always go on stats. Anyway i think Tim Howard and Steven Taylor are under rated.
