Well as a United fan I personally think its Owen Hargreaves. He's a signing that is just what United are looking for. Mobile, agrressive, has a good tackle in him and covers every blade of grass just like what any quality defensive midfielder would do. Plus, he was Englands player of the year in 2006 [IMG]

    Your thoughts?

    Quelle surprise!
I must of been one of the only people i know, who before the 2006 world cup didn't slag Hargreaves off. My argument was that you don't play for a team like Bayern Munich for so long if you're rubbish. You Mancs make me laugh, you was probably 1 of the people calling him before then, United show an interest he's a world beater.
But £18m worth not a chance. He's not a bad player but he's far from world class.
Fergie panic bought at the opening of the window and paid over the odds for all his signings(unless his son was involved in the transfers again) for the players he bought thinking that other teams may come forward to buy them. In his own words he said he was suprised at the non activity at the start of the window so if you read between the lines he jumped in head first.
Best summer signing Ryan Babel. This lads gonna be a world beater.Or Andrey Voronin as a free transfer.

Well said Bringiton i was unsure about Hargreaves and sat on the fence about him but he is a good player but what Puzzles me is that Because Alex 'Rudolph' Ferguson couldn't buy him with the wedge he got for RVN he panic Bought Carrick and IMO i would have waited a season, kept RVN as he was the 2nd best striker behind Henry and then bought Hargreaves. Now what have you got, you sold your best striker and bought two identicle players[IMG]

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Sagna could perform well at CB Alongside King Kolo[IMG]

since were all naming players from our teams im gonna go for

Claudio Pizarro, he was a free transfer, Shouldnt find it hard in the premiership because of bundesliga and he has an impressive scoring record.

Following the trend, Malouda. He has been super impressive in pre season and community sheild and had an excellent world cup for France as well as some brilliant years at Lyon. Good crosser, pacey, and can score. But maybe I am just looking at the silver lining of selling the best left side player in the prem (Robben), but he is not gone yet so see what happens.

I've changed my Mind. Dudu will be the prems best new Signing. Great Contorl on the ball and overall skill. Will leave Pizzario on the floor crying for his 'mama mia'

For the money, definately Voronin or (God strike me down for saying it) Pizarro.

Malouda's doing alright and Tevez will probably end up being one of the best too, but others like Claudio Pizarro and Fernando Torres could be up there by the end of the season.
