An article on ESPN.com reports that Miami has all but acquired A.J. Feely from Philly for a conditional 2005 second rounder. Appearantly, there were too many potential snags in getting Ramsey or Henson. IMO, this is great trade and just do not feel DH or PR are worth the hassle.

I just hope it does not preclude Miami from drafting Rivers.

Griese is as good as gone. He may end up in Green Bay???

DH had a less than impressive workout. Ramsey has been beat up a lot. Feeley is not that special either, and i doubt he can do much more than feidler. I think long term they will draft a qb for

Where did you hear that Henson's workout was less than impressive? Every story I have read said he was extremely sharp with his workout....Feeley is just 26 and he has the tools, but I cant say as though I have ever seen him play, so I take a "wait and see" attitude, but id like to hear what others think of him...

i read that hensons workout was not as impressive as some people were saying, IMG setup workout to make him look good, he did not have great accuracy or attempt all the throws, he was good but not 1st round material

Feely played well when both McNabb and hasselbeck went down and could possibly be the next Jake Delhomme story. he made good decisions and I believe he was 4-1 as a starter two years ago for the eagles. I think if used right he can be a solid QB for the phins.

I am not sold on FEELY being the answer for the PHINS and believe that you will still go for a QB in the draft. The SKINS have said that they are going to keep RAMSEY also, I don't know how that will work out. Good luck in whatever your guy's do.[IMG]

Ya I agree they shouldn't settle with Feely. And my mistake above it was Detmer not hasselbeck.

Im hoping they still draft Rivers if hes available and let him learn the system for a few years....if he turns out to be good, then you can play him or trade him in a few years....let those 2 + Sage compete for the job for a couple of years and trade the guy that loses

I agree that they should not settle w/ Feeley. Drafting Rivers is still a mandatory IMO.

I was reading that Feidler now has permission to talk to other teams. Among those interested are Tampa, Dallas, & possiblt Oakland.

So, Beef? Say March 5th rolls arond and Jay is gone; does this mean the bag comes off and the unknown phins fan is no more??

Yep, the last statement I made was that I would wear this bag on my head as long as Jay Fiedler was a Dolphin(1st I was taking it off if they beat NE, then it was if they made a super bowl run, then if Wannstedt got fired and now its come to this)....when the Fiedler era ends, so does my brown paper assylum, and not a moment too soon, the months have taken thier toll on my personal hygiene(cant shower with a bag on your head) and the wifey is ticked....I notice that Fiedler has permission to seek a trade, but who would give up anything for that bum??? I would take any player under 50 years old(contract pending), any bag of athletic equipment, any draft pick in the next 20 years, yes even a 2023 7th rounder is fine with me, just get that Fiedler off my roof!

One of the Miami papers actually refered to Fiedler as a "scapegoat." How much is Jay paying that guy?

Ive heard the statement "Jay Fiedler's biggest crime is that hes not Marino" so many times, but I think its inaccurate....Dolphins fans arent asking the new QB to be Marino, but they want him to play good, and Jay didnt play good often enough....Fiedler is certainly not a scapegoat, hes an average NFL qb with a lot of heart and a below avg arm and its not good enough in Miami....If any QB came to town and won a Super Bowl, he would be king for his lifetime, the city wants to win, and not just games, but titles, and I dont think they should have to apoligize for that!

I believe it was Jay's agent who said they did not change the coach or GM so changing the QB is the next option. I like Jay as a person but its obvious he is not a viable option for Miami's starting QB.

Dave had said he wants Jay back. Whoopeeee! not! If Dave would've trusted his players & Norv's play selection and not overriding them for the usual vanilla BS then Miami would not be in the situation they are in.

Miami needs to let Ogunleye go and get some needed extra draft picks. Further, they need to hire Jeff Diamond who was let by Tennessee as VP of Football operations. He held a similar postion w/ the Titans.

Not that hiring Kosar for Marino's old job would be bad but a different guy will put some bring in some fresh perspective. Of course, this could have been accomplished by canning Wanny & Hiring Mueller or Savage from Baltimore as GM a few months ago.
