I still am in shock that portis is gonna be a redskin. I feel bad for him he had it made in denver. With the problems my team is gonna have keeping law past this season I almost wish we got into that deal and got portis instead of washington.
I think WASHINGTON came out with the better deal here for sure, and I say watch out for those REDSKINS this year. JOE GIBBS is back I suppose.

I do have to say that Washington had better draft some talent on the interior of the line, because they're shotty at best. I love their tackles, Chris Samuels and Jon Jansen, but the guards need some help if they're going to open holes properly ofr Portis... It is a sad day in Bronco land. I can't believe I won't get to see Clinton in the Orange and Blue.

A great shut-down corner is such a hard find, and the redskins gave up arguable the best one in the leaague for a good runing back, that does have a history of injuries. In 5 years in the leagues Bailey has yet miss a game, Portis missed 3 last year. Let me drop a name at you "Edgerrin James" he had 1700-yard seasons back-to-back his rookie year. He was unbelievable, then he got hurt, he has never been the same. Running backs are a high-risk positions. Portis is not a huge guy, and does get hurt. Also, remember that Redskins O-line is not even in the Bronco's league. I would also like to know, why in the hell did Snyder have to give up a 2-round pick. It shold've been just a player for player trade. I cant say I am not glad, The foredskins will NEVER be a good team with these moves. Little Danny wants to play with his toys, well this aint Madden. Their D still sucks, and now their secondary went from average to completely horrible. It's great to be an eagles fan.
it was a good deal for both teans, however portis is a great back when healthy. He is probably the best in the league. He does all the things a back should do, Power running, great bursts, pass blocks(getting better) and catches the ball. He also averages 5.5 yards a carry. The last player to average that behind that great line was TD. anderson and gary fell short. He is a special player but an injury can hurt a back mure than a corner so you make a good point. I also dont understand the 2nd round pick except that washington wont have the cap room to pay a 2nd round player any way so who cares
Any big trade as such is going to be a great risk for both sides. I think Denver did get the safer of the two guys as far as injury risk goes. I could see Portis hurt constantly behind that poor line in Washington. Everybody loves Clinton, but can he play 16 games? I'm not so sure either. I tend to lean towards Eagles4life on this one...
The main reason I think Washington got the better of this deal is they weren't going to have Champ anyways. He was gone. They couldn't sign him to a 50-55 mil deal but they could with portis and at more years! basicly they traded a second round pick for portis. I will agree that portis is the bigger injury risk but you just never know. Bailey could break his hip like colvin did for us. Just picking up a fumble. After that injury I was like man noone is safe in this game though the odds are on bailey's side.
Also the SKINS just signed SPRINGS to fill BAILEYS spot, so they really didn't lose that much. BAILEY is the better of the two but it didn't hurt WASHINGTON that much, and they got the RB that they have needed. Now the question is the OL.
