I just read where Wanny said he wanted to keep Fiedler on the roster and allow the QB spot to be open for competition. I imagine that would require some sort of re-structuring? KC could always use a good draft pick. We will take the J-Man off your hands for a 3rd round pick. Of course, we would cut him and proceed to immediately use that 3rd rounder on a decent backup QB...Hmmm...

I read it too, but Fiedlers agent has stated that there is no way that Jay would restructure the contract if it meant a reduction in salary....after that staement, I dont see anyway Jay Fiedler is a Dolphin on March 3rd, unless thats b.s. and he reduces his salary to a minimum, the Dolphins have too many pressing needs to pay Fiedler $5.7 million(3.7 base salary and 2.0 in roster bonus due in april) on the chance he might win the job....that money could be put to much better use getting guys to block for Ricky and protect Feeley(Damian Woody comes to mind, just dont let him snap the ball)

I just wonder how fair the competition for QB will be w/ Dave as the judge especially given his bias for Jay.

I don't think Jay will take too much of a reduction. Trade him. Dallas wants him I've heard. Parcells would probably part w/ 5th rounder.

I agree that Miami should make a serious run for D Woody. He would then play RG and McKinney would be the center.

I read in the Sun Sentinel this morning that the Dolphins have removed thier demand that Fiedler takes a paycut if he wants to remain with the team.....This is a nightmare.....I dont know if AJ Feeley is gonna be a star, I dont know if hes gonna be a bust, but I know you dont trade 2nd round picks for QB's unless you intend to play them and you dont pay backups $5.7 million dollars, so what gives??? My gut feeling is that everyone in the orginazation thinks the Dolphins need a better QB to win big except Wannstedt who is ultra loyal to Fielder.....I think Fiedler must of saved Wannys life once, or maybe introduced him to his wife....perhaps he has incriminating photos of the Teflon one and thus the blind faith....I dont get it, and Im tired of wearing a bag on my head....id cry but the only thing worse than life under a brown paper prison, is life under a wet brown paper prison....

I don't what jay has on Dave or why Dave is so loyal. It could be something beef mentioned or it could something else. Either way, I don't want to know.

Mind you, It could be something as simple as having a somewhat wide open offense and that scares the Vanilla one. I'm not talking 99 Rams style offense but practically any upgrades on offense are an improvment.

Tom Brady, Manning, & Jim Fassel all think highly of Feeley and this not good enough for DW? I think Wayne needs to eliminate as many ties as possible to the Johnson era and get some fresh blood and perspective in the organization.
