Interesting... I would think Miami would want to take a look at him. He's got some gas left in the tank and he could probably teach A.J. a lot... Who else do you think could make use of him? Steelers? Ravens? Chargers? Raiders?
I never thought about Jeff in Pittsburgh, but I suppose that wouldn't be horrible. I just don't want to commit the money that would have to be ponied up. Baltimore makes sense, San Diego makes sense, Chicago could use him (short term), Cleveland could definitely use him, and I would think Dallas would at least be curious.
I would not mind seeing him in Miami but it looks like Feidler is staying (the saga of Beef under the bag continues). I would prefer Jeff to Jay. I doubt Miami would pay him the salary he will want. I agree w/ SF that Baltimore & San Diego make the most sense.
BA, I thought of Miami immediately when Garcia went on the market, but I have a hard time seeing Maimi chase him since they are going after Feely and keeping Fiedler. I think he'd be a good fit for Miami, but some decisions may have been made in haste and we probably won't see it happen.
Garcia isn't likely to land in Oakland as the Raiders seem willing to keep Gannon on for another season. Bruce Allen has left the Raiders in pretty good shape salary cap-wise before he left, and Gannnon's $7 million salary next season now looks like it can fit. I agree that San Diego would be a great fit, and if I were the Chargers, I would then consider taking Fitzgerald at #1. Imagine Garcia having both Boston and Fitzgerald as targets.

I agree that the rushed to judgment w/ Jay. Garcia would have been a major improvment. I hope that Miami signs Garcia and trades Fiedler to who cares where. If it were me, I would've kept Griese rather than Jay. Something about arm strength.
Garcia is gonna be a buccaneer and i cant say im enthused about it. We have more needs then to have a qb controversey.
im not sure, i was actually thinking it would be dallas for one reason, they have no QB, if they were smart they would go for him, carter stinks, they went for keyshawn, now, why would you go for a reciever w/o a QB? so i was only thinking he would go to dallas
He would probably end up in browns after gruden gets his head out of his but because like bucs said they have no time tobe dealing with qbs they have waymore needs. like maybe a wr or cb or something like that but deffinatley not a qb
Black i am an eagles and miami fan but i dont agree with you for one garcia would not be good for miami he is used to a passing offense and that is a runing offense also griese sucks ya he beat the chargers but lets face it they are the chargers.
well, i also think the raiders should be out ghetting a QB while they can, lets face it, rich gannon has maybe about 2 more years left, then hes gone, so they should gert one now
Looks like Garcia will be a Buc after all, of course there wont be a contraversy after they cut Johnson, unless Simms is gonna compete for the job
Why Garcia would sign on with the Bucs is beyond me... I think he should have taken the Cleveland job.
I'm with ya Pack. It was amazing. I guess he thinks the Bucs can still make a run at a Super Bowl. Of course I don't know how. They have no running game or receivers... they could be awful this year.
i agree, cleveland is his best bet, tampa's running game stinks and they have absolutely no passing game now, he should go to cleveland
Well , it is now official. GARCIA signed a 4 year deal with the BROWNS and snubbed the BUCS. Now maybe COUCH will be a FA, and if so where will he go? Any takers?
Couch will end up somewhere I'm sure. Not that Cleveland is anything great, but it wasn't making a lot of sense for Garcia to go to Tampa. As for Couch, my prediction is that he'll end up in Buffalo, Miami, or maybe even Green Bay since they're determined to find a replacement for Favre.... I just hope Pittsburgh doesn't get any bright ideas....
I would love to see Couch replace Fiedler in Miami....the Dolphins feel like they need a veteran just in case Feeley isnt ready, then bring in Couch and send Fiedler where he belongs, the World League!
