    <font color="#0000ff">The key will be how Tommie Harris' reconstructed left hamstring feels today and later this weekend, but the Bears' Pro Bowl defensive tackle looked ready for the regular season in a quick tuneup Thursday night. </font></p>

    <font color="#0000ff"> Harris made his first appearance of the preseason and was in for all seven plays that the first-team defense played. Harris got a nice rush on ex-Bear Lennie FriedmanSeth McKinney on the other side. He also showed some versatility, dropping into zone coverage on third-and-five from the Bears' 49-yard line as strong safety Adam Archuleta blitzed. and generated a push against </font></p>

    <font color="#0000ff">Harris appeared ready for the Sept. 9 opener at San Diego. The only question is how his stamina will be, but he has been practicing lately and should be in good shape.</font> </p>

    Looking good, the Bears started to look noticeably softer with him gone.</p>

    good news for tommie and da bears bad news for opposing running backs and qbs that tend to hold onto the ball too long [​IMG]
