Seahawks have loose screw, inquire about Brunell

Brunell, fighting for the No. 2 quarterback job, was the subject of an inquiry by the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, sources said, but no deal was completed after Washington's 31-14 loss to the Jaguars at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. The Redskins could still deal him with roster cuts looming Saturday -- Atlanta expressed some interest weeks ago -- although the market for the 36-year-old is not deep.

I'd be quite content to cut him, so if they could get anything for him, I'd be quite happy to see him go.

I have never been impressed w/ whats on the depth chart after Hasselback. So, bringing the former UW star home would not be that bad.

I wishthe phins would have signed Brunnell or Brad Johnson (in the latter days of the Wanny tenure). Itwould have been a step up from where they were.

Not overly shocking since Holmgren and Brunell go way back.

I think Washington should listen to what Seattle has to offer, Brunell was a failiure last year and played a big role in beggining the disaster that was the 2007 season for the Redskins. Fans give him the "Kwame treatment" and aren't really happy with how he's done in Washington, nor should they be.

LOL, watch who're you're talking to, I'm actually a Bears fan who's been out here in DC for 8 years.

As it turns out, I'm moving to Indianapolis in two weeks, but I can't say much bad in leaving DC about Redskins fans. In a way, they're like Bizarro world Bears fans. Where we've got the McCaskeys, who want to run everything like it's still 1953, the Redskins have shown us that spending money by itself doesn't just get it done.

I do have to say though that I don't think Brunell ought to be laid at the feat of Danny Snider. I think he's been Gibbs' teacher's pet from day one, and I think Danny-boy would be doing everyone a favor if he meddled a bit in this case and traded him away for a Seattle rainy day.
