Thats fine if he goes to the NFC I'm happy. But biggest move may be on draft day as It it rumored if Sean Taylor is on the board at six the lions have tentatively aggreed to a trade. Both our first rounders one of our second rounders and our forth for the 6th pick and their 4th. So basicly its win win for both of us since they would now have 6 PICKS!!! in the top 113 of one of the deeper drafts of late and we would essentialy move up in the fourth and still have a second and third round pick. pats37, Its been on the radio all week here in detroit that this deal is real close between det and new england. According to reports the whole reason the patroits are making this move is to get stephen jackson. Since sean taylor had a bad combine he may fall further down. Same goes for highly regarded kevin jones who ran a slow 40 at 4.6. This move makes perfect sense for the lions and pats.
Steven Jackson had a bad combine as well and I'll be pretty pissed if we move up that high not to get sean taylor because there is no need to give all those picks up for stephan jackson. He was running in the high 4.5's I thought at his combine and supposedly dissapointed some people. Well the talk is all Sean Taylor out here now so hopefully that is the true rumor.
I just read on CBSportsline that the Patriots and Bills are trying to trade up with the Lions for the 6th pick and the article suggested that both teams want a WR, either Fitzgerald or Roy Williams
Yeah now both belichick and and the lions are saying that rumor of the trade was false.....But we all know belichick will do something on draft day the question is what.
So to fade back to the original topic, what do you guys think of the Steelers letting Washington, Zereoue, Josh Brown, & Gildon go? Was Duce a quality pick up? And finally will we draft Rivers with our first pick? All rumor mills say yes.... but I'm not so sure.
I think that I would have maybe let BETTIS go before I let ZEREOUE go, but that's just me. BETTIS is older and they both have the same running style really. I don't think that it hurts you either way.
Beef, there was rumors that det would make a deal with buff to get henry, and move down. Nothing serious it died down, Yes both partys are deniying the trade rumors guess we will see april 24th.
