I'm very happy how USA responded to last year's disaster. We played great basketball through the tournament and won most of our games by 30+ points. I'm hoping that this is the mentality we bring to the Olympics.

Argentina's got players, there's no doubt about that. I'm excited to see us at full strength too (specifically I'm thinking about Bosh. What about Wade? Anyone else?)
While Wade is a fantastic player, will he bring anything new to the table that Kobe, James, Melo don't? Bosh? That is another story.
-Petey

I could see the team replacing Tyson with Bosh, but can't see them removing Deron Williams from the squad. I was talking to someone who did question Billups inclusion on the team though.
-Petey

QUOTE (GArenas)

QUOTE (Petey)

While Wade is a fantastic player, will he bring anything new to the table that Kobe, James, Melo don't? If they are gonna call all international games like they did the FIBA, I think they are better off with Deron and Billups. I like Wade, but I dont want to see him running the point. I also questioned the decision to keep Billups, but with Paul not playing they needed another guy to play PG. I dont really like Billups on the Olympic roster, because we have enough scorers, we need another shooter or replace him with a more pure PG.
Bosh for Tyson is an obvious upgrade.
Wade does have a really similar skill set to Kobe and Melo, but because he's such a good guy and hard worker, I think he'd be a positive addition to the team.
With Kidd and Deron running the point, anyone think swapping Arenas for Billups might make sense? I don't know if he'd accept, but it seems like the more pure shooters, the better.
Then again, Hinrich is probably a better choice than both of them.
Any idea whether Duncan will be playing in the Olympics? The idea of a Kidd-Kobe-Duncan lineup is scary - those guys might be able to take on the 92 Dream Team...

The more bigs we have, the better.

Both Williams and Billups didn't play huge roles during the tournament, and there are plenty of other shooters on the court so the US would be better off with Wade.
