Maybe this is just my paranoia, but Muhammed, the guy who set the reord for longest passing TD from scrimmige in the SB, was broadcasting NFL Europe games. Is it possible Muhammed knows something we don't? Is he gonna get cut and planning on retiring and trying his hand at broadcasting?

Beef is right there was others that did this as well.
Jamal anderson is one of the players who went into
the broacasting in nfl europe, he gets his shares
of epsn time on nfl countdown's (jam session).
Some players are smart and actually beleive in a
carrer after football, some just have the love for
the game and cant get away from it.

I looked it up and Muhammed is only 31, hes still got atleast 4 years in Carolina, and then stints with the Raiders and Bucs before he retires....

    Delhomme,

What you need to worry about is replacing your O-line. Didn't you guys lose three starters from that line this year? I know Jeno James went to the phins and donnaly retired. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you guys lost some decent players this season on both sides of the ball.

Jeno james, donally and todd stuessie who went to tampa
were lost from carolina. Teams will have a field day on delhome
like they did to brad last year, unless the panthers fix there o
line. Im sure they will address there needs on that o line
    thru the draft

And all i have heard is this is a weak draft for lineman. not a good year to choose to go that route.

I think it is an OK draft for guards, but good tackles seem to be few and far between.

Yeah but I'm more worried about our D-backs. Howard also went to the Dolphins. We still have Manning Jr. and we signed Artrell Hawkins? but Bruce Nelson played very well in place of Jeff Mitchell at C and will probably be moved over to guard. Stuessie was not a big loss, and we have Meadows to replace him. James may be the biggest one, we have Brezenski, but idk?

Ya to be honest I wasn't sure about your depth at o-line and losing the D-backs could be big but this will just have to be where John Fox shows he is a great coach.

I'm hoping fox might trade down and get two second-rounders. We could take a CB, myabe get lucky and have Derrick Strait fall into our laps. And then knock out the FS problem with perhaps Sean Jones. Then with our final pick, we can give Jake someone else to throw to, like Ben Watson. Or a G. But that's probably wishful thinking. Fox never does anything that bold. just look at the SB. It took him 28 minutes to discover he should put the ball in Delhomme's hands. Then the entire 3rd quarter to re-discover it. It was a the best one I've seen though. Congradualtions on the win, but if we get back there next year and it's a re-match, don't expect us to take it easy on you this time!!! =D

i think with the front 4 they have on defense it is not a huge deal for them to have great corners since the can get quick pressure. i think OL might be the way to go if someone is there. however, a playmaking DB could be very productive there

Ya That SB was crazy. Not to rub it in butI went and was in the endzone where viniteri kicked the game winner!! I still can't believe how good of a game that was. Don't forget though it took delhomme almost the entire first half to complete 2 passes so you can't blame Fox for hesitating with the passing game, but delhomme hit a couple big plays and that was what kept that game close. By the end of that game both defense were wasted. Both sides looked tired to me. Plus we had to shit heads playing safety cus Harrison (broken Arm) and wilson (leg) were out for most of the 4th. That killed us on the last drive especially the proehl touchdown. I doubt we'll meet again just cause it's so hard to make it back to the playoffs nevermind the SB. Your boys will find that out this season cus it will be there first time playing with a mark on their back. Every team you play will bring a new level to its game just cause you were in the SB. It's going to be a tough season for both the pats and the panthers.

About the whole 2 completions thing, Delhomme only attemped about 5 passes anyway. Up until that point, we had been running the ball, which really got us no where, except for that one increadible TD run by Foster in the 4th (Even though bothe Ds had nothing left really). Don't forget the reason you were able to get into FG range. (The out-of-bounds kickoff by Kasay) If the game went into overtime, the winner probably would have been the team who got the ball first. But we've kept most of our players, and we also have added depth at our LB position, probably brought on by the ability of y'all to run the ball on us so well. I'm hoping for a good draft, and myabe some FA surprises like Delhomme. I'm confident that we won't get overconfident. if anything, we'll be more motivated to go back there and win this year. But watching what happened to the Buccs and Raiders this year especially does give me some worries.

Yeah especially if we can blitz. I kinda have the feeling that we will move Witherspoon over to MLB since Morgan is consistantly hurt, although he did have a good run of health towards the end. But something tells me that Fox would like blitz more. Fields had 7.5 sack in 2002 and Armstead had 6.5 and he was a better player under Fox anyways. Short was signed on the off chance that Fields can't rebound from cancer, but everything I've read says he should be ready to play next season.

He also only completed 2 passes because everytime he dropped back his line collapsed they had no movement what so ever. And I'm sorry but ten yard difference on Kasays kick (since a return probably would have been to at least the 30 with the short kick) wouldn't have mattered cus vinateri's kick was good from at least another 15 yards. I agree though I wanted no part of a coin flip in overtime because who ever had it first was going to win. Especially you guys because without both safties we were at a severe disadvantage that even our depth could not overcome.

Agreed. But Vinateri had missed two FGs at that point. And I don't believe Bill would have sent him in to try one that long. And if he had missed it from say 55 yards out. Jake would have shot at a hail mary. And as hot as Jake was (Yes Brady was hot too, I'll give him some props! [IMG] ) It really wouldn't have surprised me to see Muhammed or Smith come up with it in the endzone. But I'll give you some props, Bill is one hell of a coach. Hopefully Foxy can get him some trophies too. I don't know if you watched the NFL Draft Special today, but they played fact or fiction, and it was a overwhelming fiction to the statement of Carolina being a one-hit wonder.

I don't think there one hit at all. I liked the panthers D going into last year so it didn't surprise me that they made the playoffs but I will admit to being surprised they went to the superbowl. They definitely are not a one hit wonder. And when it comes to big kicks I don't care if he had missed 20 that day Bill would have sent Vinteri out there becuase he would have known the guy won't miss. Vinteri isn't the most accurate kicker in the league sometimes but when it is to end a game the guy is lights out.

I missed the draft special. I have read so much draft stuff my head is spinning I just want it to be draft day NOW. I can't wait to see what happens. it should be intresting especially for my pats. We are set up pretty nice.

Are you from Carolina? Cus the people I met at the SB were all class acts and Me and my dad were actually in the middle of carolina country. Our section was ALL carolina except for us and a Titan fan. Needless to say it got hostile at points but in the end they were cool and very classy people. Now if that had been the other way around I would feel for the two carolina fans because they would get harrassed badly.

Yeah I can't wait for draft-day either. I have the draft issue of The Sporting News, and I kinda use it like a bible. Yeah I am from Carolina, around Charlotte. Most of our fans are nice, we'll haze you and all, but we don't go for the whole itimidation factor. I remember when we played the Buccs at home. After the game the Buccs fans were throwing beer bottles at us. That's just not how we behave. You could come down to Charlotte in a Brady Jersey without fear. But I was scared to death to go up to Philly, those guys are CRAZY. Even the Patriots fans aren't that bad. However I heard about y'all throwing snowballs at Jay Fiedler during one game lol. What about you, where are you from?
